Summer is the perfect time to learn a musical instrument! Yamaha Music School Prosper will have four weekly, half-day music camps where 6-12 year olds can learn to play keyboard, guitar, or drums, and perform in a recital at the end of the week. Dates: June 15-19, June 22-26, July 13-17, July 27-31 (M-F)
Time: 9 am - 1 pm
Age: 6 - 12 year olds
Tuition: $350 per week (registration and materials are included)
We are closed Monday, March 16th through Sunday, March 22nd for Spring Break. Have a great break and we look forward to seeing you the week after.
Yamaha Music School is open Friday (2/13), Saturday (2/14) and Monday (2/16) for lessons despite school holidays.

Student Highlight -
Satabishan Natarajan from Yamaha Music School Prosper received a "Superior" rating for his Yamaha grade 12 piano exam 🎹that was conducted in November 2025. Only students who demonstrated excellent abilities in every single field in the exam would be awarded a Superior rating.

Winter Weather Update -
Lessons for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th will resume IN-PERSON, with the exception of guitar lessons with Mr. Michael Zimmerman. We have reached out to Mr. Michael's students to reschedule lessons. Please check your inbox and spam folder, or call us at (469) 678-8776.
For the rest of the students, please use your own discretion to decide whether you are comfortable to come in for lessons tomorrow. Winter Weather Updates -
Monday, Jan. 26 - There will not be any in-person classes. Group and private lessons will be conducted online through Zoom, with the exception of drums lessons and Performance Club. We will contact drum private students to reschedule. Performance Club is cancelled for the day. Please check your emails, including spam folder, for email with instructions for Zoom lessons.
Tuesday, Jan. 27 - No decision has been made. We will make announcement on social media and emails when a decision is made.
Update for classes for this weekend -
Friday, Jan. 23 - All classes remain in-person as scheduled.
Saturday, Jan. 24 - Group keyboard classes will be conducted online through Zoom. We will email students with meeting ID and passcode separately. Private lesson students should have received email/voicemail to reschedule lessons. If private lessons are not rescheduled by 5 pm today, we will email student/parent with meeting ID and passcode for Zoom lessons tomorrow.
Decision for Monday, Jan. 26 has not been made. We will notify students/parents later this weekend when a decision is made for Monday.
Yamaha Music School Prosper is OPEN today for lessons even though it is a public school holiday (MLK Day).
New Teachers Highlight
We welcome Mr. Michael Zimmerman and Mr. William Leicht as our newest teachers in Yamaha Music School Prosper.
Michael Zimmerman - guitar, bass guitar, ukulele
Having a Bachelor of Music degree from University of North Texas, Michael has performed in multiple live music scenarios from rock and roll venues to college jazz, choir, and guitar ensembles. He is proficient in many styles of guitar ranging from heavy metal to classical guitar, to jazz, to experimental styles.
William Leicht - piano
William Leicht is a pianist from the DFW area with a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Southern Methodist University (SMU). While at SMU, he was awarded the Paul Van Katwijk Award for outstanding undergraduate piano majors. William had his orchestral debut with the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra in 2019. The same year, he won First Place in the TMTA Student Affiliate Performance Contest and First Place in the Texas State Young Artist Piano Competition.
