Fun Labor Day history: The very first Labor Day parade in 1882 almost didn’t get moving because… they had no music. 🎶 Then 200 jewelers showed up WITH A BAND and saved the day.

So, in honor of organized labor — and musicians historically doing their part — the Texas Amps & Axes team has decided to celebrate Labor Day by doing absolutely no labor whatsoever. 😂

🎸 No lessons.
🥁 No rehearsals.
🎹 No scales.
🎤 No emails.
🛋️ No labor.

TA&A will be CLOSED Monday, September 7 for Labor Day.
We’ll be back Tuesday — rested, caffeinated, and ready to make some noise.

Students & Parents- we’re so close to hitting the 5,000 piece target! Check out what Grace Bridge is still in need of and drop off to us at Texas Amps & Axes: Music Shop and Texas Amps & Axes: School of Music!

WOW! We asked and y’all showed up big... Last week we needed almost 5,000 supplies, today we need 1,439. 🤯

I Got Your Back is less than 2 weeks away and we’ve come so far, but it’s over yet!
Packing events start this upcoming Monday, and we hope to cross the finish line with all of these items by Wednesday, 7/22.

Can we do it? Not on our own! Here are some ways to donate:
🛒 Pick up some dry erase markers on your grocery run this week
☕️ Drop off a backpack to Ramble by Hillwood Coffeehouse on your way to work (and pick up coffee too!)
🧼 Refill your laundry soap at Buff City Soap - Celina, TX and bring a pack of pencils while you’re at it
🎸 Bring a highlighter pack and your guitar to a guitar lesson at Texas Amps & Axes: School of Music
