Friday Learning Fun! In 4th grade, students worked in small groups to learn about the Native American tribes in the Eastern Woodlands. As the groups completed their notes, they put their names into the student lottery for a prize!

🎉🏰 Knights, the wait is over! Thursday, August 6th, is our FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 📚✨

This summer has been filled with so much fun and learning while we waited for our students to return! The staff volunteered at JCPS Clothing Assistance Program, completed a book study on 10 to 25 The Science of Motivating Young People, attended professional development, welcomed kindergartners and other new students at camp, and hosted Meet the Teacher! Special thanks to our Norton Commons Elementary School PTA for the amazing treats and make your own pen station this morning! So creative and we appreciate it!

See you tomorrow, Knights! 💙⚔️

Special thanks to Justin Willis and the JCPS Clothing Assistance Program for hosting 21 staff Knights today! It was fun to volunteer our time helping unload multiple pallets of shoes. We appreciate the support CAP offers the students of JCPS, and enjoy taking time to give back.

Our staff has had a great week! We have had productive work sessions focused on K-5 vertical alignment, welcomed our newest Knights, we celebrated our 5 retirees, had a cookout hosted by our admin team, and participated in a mini flash mob for Dr. Terry. We wish our Knights a wonderful summer! See you in the fall!

Welcome to summer, families! We have loved the 25-26 school year, and are already making plans for next year! In the meantime keep the learning going with our previously shared summer choice board. You may still access IXL and don’t forget to use the Louisville Free Public Library. Be safe and have a wonderful summer! We will miss our students and families!

It was a musical extravaganza yesterday at our spring concert! Our talented students did an amazing job. Kudos to our teachers Mr. Barnfield, Mrs. Hodges, and Mr. McLaughlin for their leadership of band, WindStars, orchestra and choir.
