Congratulations Adan!!!

Our Impact Student of the Month for September is Adan Pyron! Let's hear what Adan has to say about his Impact experience:

What is the best part about volunteering?
I think the best part about volunteering is definitely seeing the changes you can make just about anywhere. I did most of my hours in my small town, but I saw so many different people thank me for what I was doing. I felt very, very giving to the community in which I feel is very deserved because this community that I have done all of these things for is a hard-working, honest community that deserves to be recognized and assisted in some of these projects that I helped with.

What have you learned throughout the Impact Program?
I think one thing I’ve learned through the Impact Program is that helping others really doesn’t take much at all, it also just makes you feel great to know that you spent your time doing something for those who are grateful or helping out other people who may not be able to do things and it just feels great and it’s an overall amazing feeling. It can really change somebody.

What organizations have you volunteered with so far?
I’ve volunteered with plenty of organizations throughout the entirety of my Impact volunteering hours. I’ve helped with the Village of Tampico and with the parks planting flowers, watering flowers, and just taking care of the park in general. I’ve helped with Tampico Days doing all kinds of things. I’ve helped the Prophetstown, Lyndon, and Tampico schools by staying with the kids and playing games with them during certain meetings. Also helping out with the concessions during volleyball games and basketball games. The biggest event I volunteered for I would say is the Make a Farmer Festival in honor of a fellow classmate that we lost in an accident. There are many more that I have helped with truly and I think the experience that you get from that is really one of a kind, and you could never replicate that.

Thank you, Adan, for serving your community through Impact!
