I couldn’t be any proud of our Dakota language students here at Prior Lake. This is our first ever Dakota language class here in prior lake. Today we competed in our first Dakota Language bowl. There was 24 youth teams that competed, we had 6 teams sign up for this event. With all the work we have been putting in this year, our Dakota language students have placed 3rd, 4th, and 5th place in youth beginners. We had one team compete in youth intermediate and placed 3rd.
Once again I’m so proud of our students and the hard work they put in this year for Dakota Language. It goes to show you truly are learning and demonstrate using the language amongst our community and elders.

Keep striving to learn more!!! You guys are doing amazing.

Just a reminder that today Feb 25, 6pm-7pm at the District building. We will be holding our vote of concurrence or non concurrence for the American Indian Education Program. 4540 Tower St SE, prior lake, mn 55372.

Annual Compliance (The Resolution of Concurrence or Nonconcurrence)

Prior to March 1 of each year, the AIPAC must meet to discuss whether or not they concur with the educational offerings that have been extended by the district to American Indian students. If the AIPAC finds that the district and/or school board have been meeting the needs of American Indian students, they issue a vote and resolution of concurrence. If they find that the district and/or school board have not been meeting the needs of American Indian students, they issue a vote and resolution of nonconcurrence.

Registration for the Fall 2024 - Intro Ojibwe Speaking Class 12 Week Course has come to an end.

The next Intro Ojibwe Speaking Class 12 Week Course will take place Winter/Spring 2025.

Registration will be posted December 2024 and class will begin January 2025.
