7 DAY COUNTDOWN: SEPTEMBER 1
Hello everyone! It's hard to believe September is almost here! Teachers are hard at work getting classrooms ready, and we have lots of events happening this week:

Monday (Aug 24): New Parent Orientation @ 6pm
Tuesday (Aug 25): Back to School BBQ @ 6pm
Tuesday (Sep 1): First Day of School

INSERVICE: TEAM BUILDING DAY
This team works hard, and we love taking time to foster team bonding and fun. We started with lunch at MOD Pizza in Bend, and then worked our way over to Sun Mountain Family Fun Center for some laser tag, bowling, and arcade games!

This isn't just a job, it's a calling. It's a mission. We serve together, arm in arm, in one of the greatest and most important jobs on the planet...making disciples and educating students in Truth. The greatest challenge our culture is facing is a war on Truth, and our staff is in the trenches every single day.

This is one of the most important jobs in the world, and especially in this cultural moment. This team works together to one common end, and it is something that bonds us together. This team is special, and we're so excited to see what God does in and through them! We also have fun together!

INSERVICE DAY #1: IT BEGINS!!!
Wow, hard to believe classes start just 2 weeks from today! This was our largest staff meeting yet, with all of our staff from last year returning, as well as 3 new hires who are joining our Early Learning Team!

We really do have the best teaching team and staff in Central Oregon. They work well together, they work as a team, they share a common goal and purpose, and we serve a King who is so gracious to us. We love this team, and we can't wait to see what God does through them this year.

There was definitely a sense of excitement and "buzz" as preparations begin, curriculum is separated out, and classrooms are put together.

Each year just gets better and better, and we can't wait to see what God is going to do this year. We've also seen substantial enrollment growth, so we expect this year's back to school BBQ to be a lot of fun as our CCCS family continues to grow.

We can't wait to welcome students and families back! Mark your calendars for next Tuesday night, August 25th, for our Back to School BBQ event!

HELLO FAMILIES
Let's be praying for our state and for our community. We have staff under evacuation, we have families under evacuation. Pray for safety of those fighting the fires to protect lives and property. Pray for Ochoco Christian Conference Center.

**EDIT: The Prineville Review updated their story to help alleviate confusion and inquiries we were receiving.**

There has been some confusion this morning surrounding an article and post from the Prineville Review about a school closure. We just want to clarify for the community that they were not talking about CCCS, and that Crook County Christian School is NOT closing!

STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT: WELCOME BACK TO OUR ELEMENTARY TEAM, STEPHANIE!
We are excited to welcome back Stephanie Mapes who will be returning to the elementary classroom this year! For the past year, she was functioning as our Early Learning Director, but she will be rejoining our elementary team as our third grade teacher!

We are excited to have the BEST teaching team, and God has helped us build an incredible staff to educate our students!

STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT: WELCOME BACK DALLAS CARNE!
We are thrilled to welcome back Dallas Carne to our school and program! Dallas took the year off last year to finish her teacher licensing, and is returning to teach our 2nd Kindergarten class! This was a very fun re-hire, and we are thrilled to be putting together the BEST teaching team in Crook County!

July is a great month to remind families about our Family Referral Program since we usually see a little enrollment rush in August and early September! For each new family you refer who enrolls at Crook County Christian School, both families will receive a $300 credit**

Almost every week, we talk to numerous families in the community who mention that are hearing GREAT THINGS about CCCS from our families. We love that, and we love referrals that help add to the community and culture God is building here!

**There are no limits to the number of families you can refer, and each one results in a credit for both families.

We love referrals, and many of our families come because they hear from friends or family about the great things happening at Crook County Christian School. CCCS families are invited to refer a friend…
