Help Princeville FFA Build for the Future!
The Princeville FFA Chapter is excited to launch a fundraiser for a new greenhouse that will support our students, our annual plant sale, and agricultural education for years to come.
Our previous temporary greenhouse, constructed around 2012 to meet growing space needs for the plant sale, had reached the end of its lifespan and had become an eyesore. It has already been torn down, and the base is currently being prepared for a new, permanent hard-plastic greenhouse, similar to our existing greenhouse. The new greenhouse will be larger, more durable, and equipped with an automated ventilation system.
This new greenhouse will be used alongside our large permanent greenhouse and will be home to hanging baskets, geraniums, and vegetables grown by our students. These plants are sold at the Princeville FFA Plant Sale, a long-standing tradition our alumni and community members look forward to each year.
The plant sale is the primary fundraiser for Princeville FFA. Profits support contests, leadership events, food for meetings, and other chapter activities.
The total cost of the new greenhouse is approximately $33,000, and we are seeking support from alumni, local businesses, and community members to help make this project a reality. The plan is to have the greenhouse installed soon so it can be used for the 2026 plant sale.
We are also proud to share that the new structure will be dedicated to a former agriculture teacher and FFA advisor who continues to be heavily involved with our program. The facility will be named 'The Joe House Agricultural Education Greenhouse.' Dedication details will be announced at a later date.
