Thank you to everyone who volunteered in the concession stand in the youth building today at the State Fair of West Virginia!

Our youth have been recognized for their visual presentation and public speaking efforts and their selection for state and national events.

The State Fair of West Virginia is also a homecoming for 4-H families. We loved catching up with everyone and meeting the next generation of members!

Volunteers needed! We are prepping for our Famous 4-H Baked Potato Dinner on Friday at 2:00pm in the PVHS Home Ec Room. We are also looking to borrow some electric roasters if you have one (or some) you wouldn’t mind sharing!

🎡🌟 **Mercer County 4-H Teen Leaders – State Fair of West Virginia Trip!** 🌟🎡

Join us for a fun day at the **State Fair of West Virginia** on **Saturday, August 15, 2026!**

**🚨 Important:** This trip is **NOT** the same as **4-H Day at the State Fair**. While we encourage all 4-H families to attend **4-H Day on Friday, August 14**, Mercer County 4-H **will not be providing transportation on Friday.** Our organized Teen Leader trip is **Saturday, August 15**, when we will be helping staff the Youth Building concession stand.

📍 **Saturday, August 15**
🕗 Depart: **8:00 AM** from the Mercer County Memorial Building
🕙 Return: Approximately **10:00 PM** to the Memorial Building

🚐 **Transportation**
The **first 13 youth** to register in **ZSuite** **and request van transportation** will have a seat in the Mercer County 4-H van. After those seats are filled, youth are still welcome to participate but will need to arrange their own transportation or carpool.

💲 **Youth should bring:**
• State Fair admission
• Money for meals
• Spending money
• **$5** to help offset fuel costs for those riding the 4-H van

🍔 **Volunteer Service**
Every participant will work a scheduled shift in the **Youth Building concession stand**. When not working, you'll have time to enjoy the fairgrounds with friends. Youth will simply check in with their assigned adult **once each hour** throughout the day.

📝 **Registration is open now in ZSuite through August 8!**

Don't wait if you want a seat in the van—**only the first 13 registered youth requesting transportation will be guaranteed a spot!**
