It's time to kick off a new 4-H year, and we want YOUR ideas!
Join us for our first Mercer County 4-H Teen Leader meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 13, at 6:30 PM in the Assembly Hall at Mercer County 4-H Camp!
This is your chance to help plan the activities, events, service projects, and adventures YOU want to see happen in Mercer County 4-H this year!
Whether you're a returning Teen Leader or interested in getting involved for the first time, we'd love to have you join us!
💚 Open to all youth in 6th–12th grades!
Bring your ideas, your enthusiasm, and a friend! Let's make this a great 4-H year together! 🍀

💚🍀 Mercer County is GLOWING GREEN for 4-H! 🍀💚
The Mercer County Courthouse is lit up green this week in celebration of National 4-H Week!
We are so grateful to the Mercer County Commission and our community for recognizing the importance of 4-H and the positive impact this program has on young people throughout Mercer County.
Seeing our courthouse glowing green is a wonderful reminder of the strong community support behind our 4-H members, volunteers, families, and programs. Thank you for helping us celebrate 4-H and all the ways our young people are learning, leading, serving, and making a difference! 💚

🍀 Celebrating 4-H Achievement! 🍀
Mercer County 4-H kicked off National 4-H Week on Sunday, October 4, with our annual 4-H Achievement and Friends of 4-H Program!
This special afternoon gave us the opportunity to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of our 4-H members and volunteers. Youth and 4-H leaders were recognized for their efforts in project work, leadership, service, and the many contributions they make to the success of Mercer County 4-H.

Congratulations to Abby Hedrick, our 2025–2026 Outstanding 4-H Member, and Stephanie Handley, our 2025–2026 Outstanding 4-H Leader!

We are incredibly proud of all of our award recipients and everything they have accomplished throughout the year.
We also extend a heartfelt thank you to our Friends of 4-H. Your generosity and continued support help provide opportunities and experiences for Mercer County youth and make so much of what we do possible.
Congratulations to everyone recognized, and thank you for helping us kick off National 4-H Week by celebrating the very best of Mercer County 4-H! 💚🍀

🍀💚 It’s National 4-H Week in Mercer County! 💚🍀
We were honored to join the Mercer County Commission as they officially proclaimed October 4–10, 2026, as National 4-H Week in Mercer County!
We are so grateful for the Commission’s continued partnership and support of Mercer County 4-H. Their commitment to our program and the young people we serve helps make so many opportunities possible throughout our county.
National 4-H Week is a time to celebrate our incredible members, volunteers, families, and community partners who help make 4-H such a special part of Mercer County. We are thankful to have community leaders who recognize the value of investing in our youth and supporting the work of 4-H.

The Division for Land Grant Engagement has launched the 2026 statewide needs assessment survey to better understand the issues and priorities that matter most to West Virginians.
The findings from this assessment will help:
•Identify priorities for WVU Extension and Davis College programs
•Guide future research, education, and outreach efforts
•Ensure resources are focused where they can make the greatest impact

The 2026-2027 WV 4-H Teen Council application is now LIVE ❗

WV 4-H Teen Council is an advisory group for the West Virginia 4-H program! 🍀
Teen Council members are ambassadors for the 4-H program who help promote 4-H, plan teen-led 4-H activities, and provide leadership at a variety of state 4-H events! 🙌

Who Can Apply? ⬇️
🍀 WV Youth ages 14-17 (as of January 1, 2026)
🍀 Currently in High School
🍀 At least 2 years of 4-H club experience
