👩‍🍳🍝 Our Daycare Kitchen Was Full of Little Chefs Today!

As part of our summer camp fun, we dived into a wonderful Sensory Spaghetti Exploration! The children loved touching, pulling, and exploring the textures, but the real highlight was using toddler-safe tools to cut the pasta.

💡 The Learning Behind the Play:
Activities like this are fantastic for early development! By gripping, manipulating, and cutting the spaghetti, the children are strengthening their hand muscles (essential for hand-eye coordination and future writing skills) while learning through hands-on discovery.

📢 Sensory Week: Dinosaur Foam Rescue! 🧼🦕

Yesterday, we started our Sensory Week with a fun "Foam Treasure Hunt"! We filled our sensory tables with shaving cream and hid plastic dinosaurs inside. 🦖✨

🧠 What we practiced:
•Tactile Exploration: Feeling and playing with the fluffy shaving cream.
•Fine Motor Skills: Using fingers and tweezers to grab and rescue the hidden dinosaurs.
•Problem Solving: Searching through the foam to find every single dinosaur.
The children absolutely loved getting messy and exploring!

🎨🚗 Tire track painting with our wonderful friends! 🏎️✨

This afternoon we got super creative and made some very unique art! The children had a blast rolling cars through the paint to explore different textures and track patterns. It’s the perfect way to strengthen our fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination during transportation play! 🧠🎨

Yesterday our little learners had a blast exploring transportation with a fun "Find the Shadows" matching game! 🕵️‍♂️✨

🧠 Learning Benefits:

•Visual Discrimination: Spotting details and shapes (essential for early reading!).

•Fine Motor Skills: Tracing lines to strengthen pencil grip and hand muscles.
