Students at Princeton Intermediate had fun designing and coloring during the Ojibwe shoulder bag activity. An Ojibwe bandolier bag, or gashkibidaagan, is a large, beautifully beaded shoulder bag, a significant cultural art form traditionally made by Ojibwe women for men to wear as prestigious ceremonial attire, featuring vibrant floral or geometric designs and often adorned with tinklers, symbolizing identity and resilience. These bags, known for their intricate beadwork using glass beads on trade cloth, became iconic around the Great Lakes and were historically valuable enough to be traded for ponies, showcasing global trade influences and deep spiritual meaning.

Mrs. Kude's Technology and Engineering 2 class had an older TV that did not work donated to them. Today the class did some reverse engineering with the TV and took it apart to see why it didn't work. Students had great fun removing and learning about all the components.

Due to today's winter storm warning, all after school and evening activities, athletics, practices and Community Education classes and rentals are cancelled today, Tuesday, December 9. Tiger Club will remain open until 5:30 for preschool and 6:00 for school-age.

School will remain in session today as normal.
