🎶 Concert Day is here!

Join us this afternoon for beautiful music and a relaxed time together. After the performance, head downstairs to enjoy cookies, lemonade, and the student art display.

🌊✨ Summit Christian Academy Spring Concert & Art Show—This Sunday!

We invite our SCA families and friends to join us this Sunday at 4:00 pm for our Middle School & High School Spring Concert, Through Many Waters—an afternoon celebrating the musical and artistic gifts God has placed in our students.

This year’s program features a rich variety of music from our Middle School and High School Choirs, including favorites like “The Wellerman,” “Bring Me Little Water, Sylvie,” “Shall We Gather at the River,” “Father of Light,” and the vibrant “Salmo 150.”

We are also excited to share selections from our newly inaugurated Handbell Choir, ringing together for the very first time in a spring concert. In addition, several students will present solos from their spring competitions, showcasing the hard work and artistry they’ve developed throughout the year.

The evening will conclude with a powerful moment of worship as our combined choirs join together for the finale, “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).”

Before the concert, we invite you to enjoy our Student Art Display, opening at 3:30 pm. The gallery will also remain open after the concert so you can take your time exploring the creativity and imagination of our SCA artists.

We had such an incredible time at Nationals with this group of students! Our students worked hard, supported each other, and made memories that will last far beyond the week! Friends and supporters of Music at Summit Christian Academy, don’t miss this concert Saturday night at Bluefield University! Our Summit students will be working with BU's special guest, Craig Courtney this fall—and five of them are already set to perform with him at Carnegie Hall. If you want a glimpse of the composer they’ll be sharing that stage with, this is the perfect chance. Come out, enjoy an incredible evening of music, and support the growing arts community at both SCA and BU. Also performing are our music team, Dr. Jeremy and Melissa Yowell, and current and former SCA students!

🎻 We’re celebrating even more musical excellence at Summit Christian Academy! 🎻

We’re pretty stoked today to share that two of our Summit students—Finn Smith (violin) and Cannon Smith (viola)—were selected for and performed in the West Virginia All‑State Orchestra! This is one of the highest honors a young musician can receive in our state.

We’re especially thrilled to share that Finn was chosen as the Concertmaster—a remarkable distinction and a testament to his skill, leadership, and dedication.

Both Finn and Cannon represented Summit with excellence, and we are incredibly proud to have these talented young men as part of our SCA family. Their commitment to their craft continues to inspire our entire music program. 💙🦅🎶

🎶 SCA Music Shines at Fine Arts Competition! 🎶

Our Falcons delivered an incredible showing at this year’s Fine Arts Competition, bringing home top awards and representing Summit Christian Academy with excellence, artistry, and Christ‑honoring character. We are so proud of each student’s hard work and dedication.

🌟 Individual & Ensemble Awards
- Isabella Deel — 1st Place, Vocal Solo
- JoAna Schaetzle — Excellent Rating, Vocal Solo
- Handbell Choir — 1st Place
- Large Ladies’ Vocal Ensemble — 3rd Place
- Small Vocal Ensemble (Isabella Deel & Ariel Haynes) — Excellent Rating
- Finn Smith — 1st Place, Violin Solo
- Classical Piano Duet (Ella Botts & Claire Thyng) — 1st Place

Because of these outstanding results, several of our students and groups have earned the opportunity to compete on the national level at Bob Jones University, April 14–16. What an exciting next step!

All four Falcon basketball teams have reached the WVCEA Conference Championship Games, and we’re celebrating the dedication, teamwork, and character that make our students remarkable in every arena.

Championship Saturday at the Beckley‑Raleigh County Convention Center:
- MS Girls — 11:00am
- MS Boys — 12:15pm
- HS Girls — 5:00pm
- HS Boys — 6:30pm

It’s here! The final day of basketball season for 25-26 and all four of our teams have advanced to the championship games of the WVCEA Conference Tournament!
