Mattei Middle School Band

🎶Both Symphonic and Honor Band performed their hearts out at UIL Concert and Sightreading contest last week!
For a second year in a row, both groups presented a Superior performance and earned the Sweepstakes award! This is the highest award possible at this contest.

We are so proud of every student who worked hard and achieved this incredible accomplishment! Wonderful things can happen when you work hard for them.

To ensure the safety of our students, staff and families, all Princeton ISD schools and facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 26, due to area weather conditions and the forecast for Monday.

All school-related activities, including after-school and extracurricular programs will be canceled as well.

We will continue to monitor conditions and update if the need arises.

🎶🎶Our Jaguar band members played so well tonight at the Region 25 All Region Band Concert!
Congratulations to everyone on a fantastic day and beautiful concerts!

Today has been full of rehearsals, food, and fun! Our 6 Jaguars Band members have been enjoying their time in the All Region Middle School Band rehearsals so far!

Concerts are tonight at the Robinson Fine Arts Center and begin at 5:30pm!

Six Mattei Middle School honor band students earned spots in the Region 25 All-Region Middle School Band. This is a highly competitive event that involves preparing their scales, three difficult solo pieces and then playing them for two sets of judges. Earning a spot in the All-Region Middle School Band is the highest honor a middle school band student can achieve.

On Dec. 5, these students will participate in the Region 25 All-Region clinic and concert at the Robinson Fine Arts Center in Plano. This concert is free and open to the public.

🎈 Mattei Band was invited to take part in James Elementary’s Kindergarten Balloon Parade! We were so happy to provide the soundtrack to this fun event!!

🎶 The 2nd Annual Princeton ISD All District Middle School Band rehearsals and concert is today and these hardoworking musicians are having a great time!

Mattei Band competed against Clark and Southard Band students earlier this semester to earn a spot in the All District Band!

🎃 No tricks, all treats!!
Mr. Tucker and Mrs. Humphreys dressed up as 6 7 and we had a few beginning band students earn their 1st badge!!
