This past Friday we were beyond fortunate enough to welcome Jaleel Campbell to present the exhibition: Common Threads. Campbell is a New York based illustrator, dollmaker, and visual artist. Campbells work will be up in the Anne Reid ‘72 Gallery through November, please stop by!

Princeton Day School is excited to welcome Amanda Maher P’28 ’30 ’34 to her new role as chair of the Board of Trustees.

A current PDS parent and longtime trustee, Maher also served on the strategic planning steering committee and brings broad experience in education, philanthropy, and leadership to the role.

“Amanda knows our school well and cares deeply about where it’s headed,” says Head of School Kelley Nicholson-Flynn. “I’ve seen firsthand the thoughtfulness and perspective she brings to important conversations, and I’m eager to partner with her as we bring the strategic plan from vision to action.”

Maher is CEO of Essex Equity Management, her family’s investment office, and president of the Maher Charitable Foundation, which works to expand access to educational opportunities for children and their families across New Jersey. Prior to Essex Equity, she was an adjunct professor of political theory at Drexel University, where she taught courses on democracy, freedom, and justice. With her husband, Amar Gautam, Maher also owns The Meeting House in Princeton.

She holds a PhD in political science from the University of Chicago, a JD from Harvard Law School, and a BA from Duke University.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to take on this role at this particular moment,” says Maher. “PDS is already a fantastic school. With all the exciting things happening under Kelley’s leadership, it’s only going to get better. And I get to help make that happen.”
