Please join ABPA, QPA, and the Princeton Club of Washington on Saturday, June 13, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM ET, in Washington, DC, for our inaugural Freedom in Full Color celebration!

Celebrate with us during this cocktail gathering as we come together to honor the legacies of Juneteenth and Pride Month. This is a night for honoring history, uplifting joy, and embracing the radiant possibilities of who we are—and who we are becoming—together.

IvyPride is a group for LGBTQ+ alumni, faculty/staff, and grad students who meet monthly at rotating locations. Barebottle is a San Francisco based, crowd-inspired craft brewery that was founded by certified beer judges. They focus on innovative, locally-brewed beers inspired by the Bay Area (and also offer wine and kombucha). Join us at their Menlo Park taproom for a Thursday night mixer. Cash bar, with some food offerings and arcade games. Look for the Pride flag and the IvyPride sign.

The floors are still questionable, the seating still scarce, but honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way. We'll bring the rainbow spirit, you bring your sass, your stories, and your thirst for celebration. Kick off your Pride Saturday with laughs, cheers, and the most fabulous company around. Year after year, we're still here, still q***r, and still the only place you'd rather be! We thank Cornell Pride for organizing and inviting alumni from other schools to join.

DEZMANIAN’ 007 // Co-Founder of True T PGH
John Dez Easter III (aka Dezmanian’), Co-Director of True T PGH and an esteemed figure in the Historical Underground Ballroom Community, breathes life into his performances through his unique blend of creative passions. Since his 2008 debut in the ballroom scene, Dez has crafted his own distinctive vogue style, finding artistic liberation in Vogue as a platform to fuse his diverse creative influences. Join Dez to master his favorite vogue elements and unleash the power of expression through hands, wrists, and knees!

JULIAN EBONY // Partners & Relations Manager of True T PGH
Julian McClain, a Pittsburgh-based artist, discovered his passion for creation, color, and design at a young age, setting the stage for his multifaceted artistic journey. His artistic prowess has garnered numerous awards in visual arts while also making waves in Pittsburgh's underground ballroom scene. Through roles at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater and The University of Pittsburgh’s CEC, Julian contributed to the growth and visibility of fellow artists. Presently, as the Program Manager at True T PGH and President of The Urban League Young Professionals, he champions artists' causes, including his grassroots initiative, Color Me Urban, dedicated to empowering black and brown entrepreneurs.

LEGENDARY DENA STANLEY // The Iconic House of Balenciaga
Dena Stanley (she/her) is a black trans woman, community organizer, advocate, and social justice warrior who works in the Pittsburgh area fighting for the liberation of trans people while also advocating for equity and inclusion of race and class. She is the Founder and Director of Trans YOUniting and Co-Founder of Pgh Pride. With over 24 years of involvement in uplifting and empowering the Legendary underground Ballroom community, Dena is also a prominent leader of the House of Balenciaga and was deemed “Legendary” in 2019.

"KING M***A" HAZELL REVLON // Vogue Femme
Hazell Azzer Revlon, a Pittsburgh native, is a multifaceted artist deeply rooted in the ballroom scene for six years, with a dance journey spanning 16 years. With a diverse skill set encompassing hip-hop, jazz, vogue, gymnastics, and breakdancing, Hazell's artistry transcends boundaries. Beyond dance, they also serve as a personal trainer and flexibility coach, harnessing their expertise to inspire and train others on their artistic and physical journeys.

NIOR BALENCIAGA .Nior // Vogue Femme (Soft & C**t)
Nior is an up and coming vogue femme in the ballroom scene. A member of the prestigious House of Balenciaga and the innovative Kiki House of Unbothered Cartier , She specializes in “soft and cunt” performance with a $2,000 grand prize trophy to co-sign her expertise. Get ready for the feather!

KISS EBONY .I.M_TheArtist // Vogue Femme (Big Boys Performance)
Curtis Hanner aka Kiss Ebony is a dynamic force in Pittsburgh’s LGBTQIA+ and Ballroom communities. As a proud member of the legendary House of Ebony, Curtis carries the legacy of Ballroom excellence while using his platform to uplift and educate. By day, he serves as a passionate advocate at Allies for Health and Wellbeing, working on the frontlines to help end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. By night, he nurtures the next generation of Ballroom stars through regular Vogue workshops, creating affirming spaces where self-expression, culture, and care converge. Whether in the ballroom or the community, Kiss Ebony leads with heart, purpose, and unapologetic pride.

NeekJame$—a fervent musician and awarded community activist, and social change maker rooted in Pittsburgh—stands as a proud member of the upcoming musical duo, SUPA NXC, and holds the honor of Co-Founder at True T PGH. Committed to uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, NeekJame$ champions change as an acclaimed LGBT+ Leader and Changemaker, utilizing their platform to foster awareness, creative storytelling, and meaningful dialogues.

MOTHER MOCHI BABYPHAT
Mochi Baby Phat (AKA Tiffany Pollard Baby Phat) is the Founding Mother of the Illustrious Kiki Haus of Baby Phat. She’s a newer, whippersnappin, voice to the scene, but she’s got an old soul about her, and creates with the highest respect to those who’ve paved a way for her to thrive. When she’s not with her kids, she’s on the mic. When she’s off the mic, she’s on the floor. Tap in and tune in!

ANDRAYA 007 .Von // Fem Queen Performance & FQ FACE
Andraya Rand-Mathis is a choreographer, dancer, and educator who was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh. She has choreographed several musical productions, which have won Gene Kelly Awards for Best Choreography. Even though Andraya started their dance training at a late age, she is a force to be reckoned with for her generation and future generations to come. Since hitting the dance scene a little over 8 years ago, Draya has had the opportunity to work with some amazing artists such as Greer Reed, Staycee Pearl, Kontara Morphis, and Anthony Williams.

Would you like to get your 10's? After the fireworks, come to Princeton University Reunions’ Mock Ball to learn the significance of ballroom culture, participate in a category or support someone representing your class year!

Be prepared to clap, serve or just observe some of the most legendary in the scene show you how it's done! Judges from the community will be giving 10's or chops.

TrueTPGH is a Black- and q***r-led nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh, PA, dedicated to empowering LGBTQIA+ people of color through creative arts, community health, and social activism. Founded in 2010 by Duane “Naheen” Binion, John “Dez” Easter, and Dalen Hooks, TrueT began as a platform to bring ballroom culture to Pittsburgh, offering safe spaces for self-expression and celebration.

Over time, TrueT has evolved into a multifaceted community hub. Their initiatives include the Option-U Emergency Housing Program, which provides trans and non-binary individuals with safe, affirming shelter and access to essential services. Additionally, TrueT EDU, launched in partnership with Google, offers free digital skills training to LGBTQ+ Pittsburghers, aiming to reduce inequality and enhance career opportunities.

At the heart of their operations is TrueT Studios, a dedicated space for workshops, performances, exhibitions, and community gatherings. Through these efforts, True T PGH continues to celebrate q***r people of color, fostering a vibrant community grounded in resilience, creativity, and mutual support.

DJ Ariel is Princeton Class of 2008 graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department (BSE) and currently a Professor at Illinois Institute of Technology and Dominican University in Chicago. She DJ'd the 5th and 15th Reunion Tents for the Class of 2008. DJ Ariel has performed globally from Milan, Italy to Times Square in NYC to Las Vegas. https://soundcloud.com/djarielnyc

Reunite with your fellow QPA members over dinner before the fireworks! Buffet dinner will be served. Members of Q***r Princeton Alumni and their families are invited.

We’ll be serenaded through the 6:30 p.m. dinner-hour by the Katzenjammers, hear from QPA about the important work we do both on and off campus, and join together for a rousing toast as we sing “Old Nassau.”

Cool off after the P-Rade with QPA!

LGBTQ+ & allied alumni and their guests/families are invited to join us for a reception at the Gender + Sexuality Resource Center. Meet members of the GSRC staff and QPA board, and hear about the work done on and off campus to celebrate, affirm and uplift LGBTQ+ Princetonians.

The QPA Board of Trustees annual meeting will also take place at this reception. Paid members may vote.
