The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship has increased the number of grant start dates per year to three (3), with application deadlines now occurring every four (4) months. Grant project timelines are subject to change in following years. The next deadline for grant proposals is February 15.

Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grants for worshiping communities allow a wide range of Christian worshiping communities to focus on projects that connect public worship with Christian discipleship and faith formation.
: Our aim is to support year-long projects that show promise in fostering renewed or strengthened worship practices within worshiping communities in the United States or Canada. (See also: Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grants for teacher-scholars.)

Funding awards range from $8,000 to $25,000.
for a Worshiping Communities Grant?
We encourage both emerging and established worshiping communities to develop grant proposals using a collaborative process. Christian communities eligible for grants include:
--New churches and church plants
--Established congregations and parishes
--Seminaries, colleges, and religious schools
--Hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice centers
--Prison and correctional center ministries
--Other Christian worshiping communities
Organizations eligible for the grant program must be based in the United States or Canada and must present proof of their tax-exempt status with their application.

2022 Black Theology & Leadership Institute at Princeton Seminary: Fire in My Bones: Womanist Leadership, Activism, and Preaching | 🗓 July 10-15, 2022 | ***BTLI WILL BE AN IN-PERSON EVENT***
On behalf of the Office of Continuing Education at Princeton Theological Seminary and The Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership at Union Presbyterian Seminary, we invite you to apply for the 2022 Black Theology and Leadership Institute: Fire in My Bones: Womanist Leadership, Activism, and Preaching. The 2022 Black Theology and Leadership Institute (BTLI) will take place from July 10-15, 2022. This initiative is a week-long intensive gathering for Black clergy and laity for training, worship, fellowship, and renewal.

We are also thrilled to announce our new collaboration with the Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton Theological Seminary (IYM), the Certificate in Youth and Black Theology designed for Black leaders in youth ministry. Our pilot program will be led by the Rev. Khristi Adams, author of Parable of the Brown Girl: The Sacred Lives of Girls of Color, and the recently released, Unbossed: How Black Girls Are Leading the Way. This joint certificate program between the Institute of Youth Ministry (IYM) and the Black Theology and Leadership Institute (BTLI) will take place over a three-month period with a cohort of up to 10 people. Cohort members should expect to attend: IYM’s Forum on Youth Ministry from May 3-5, 2022; One Zoom session after the Forum concludes (date to be determined) and BTLI from July 10-15, 2022.
Key details: a cohort of peer-to-peer learning and vocational friendship, developed under the leadership of Rev. Khristi Adams; a designated seminar track at the IYM's Forum on Youth Ministry, May 3-5; a mid-program online book discussion on Zoom (books included); and a cohort reunion through participation at the 2022 BTLI on womanist leadership, activism, and preaching, July 10-15.
