We’ve been learning about nutrition and being healthy. This weeks activities included sorting foods into food groups, deciding if foods are healthy, somewhat healthy, or not healthy, learning about syllables in words, and counting and identifying written numbers. We also started each day with exercise to get our bodies ready to learn.

"Kingston has been in his Pre-K class for only three months, and I’m blown away by how much he’s learned and grown. Before school started, he did not know how to write his name, was not interested in reading books, counted to 12, and had too much screen time at home.



Now, three months in, he can write his name, is recognizing letters, interested in writing his letters, is gradually more interested in reading/listening to books, and his screen time has been greatly reduced. He still gets the rest time that he needs in the afternoon. And this evening, on his own, he looked at a calendar and counted all the squares, from 1 to 35. I was so proud of him.



Socially, he is a very shy kiddo. So being around new friends every day is a good thing. His class picture is hanging on our fridge, and he likes to look at it and point at each classmate and say their name.



His teacher is so great with them. She sends updates and photos of the kids doing different activities. They go on fields trips; they get to do STEM and art and music and computer lab. He’s going to be so ready for kindergarten. We recently had a parent-teacher conference, and she showed us his growth in only a couple months. I’m so glad we made the decision to send him to Pre-K, and I’m thankful for the On My Way program. Thank you!"
