inlingua® its students to Grounds For Sculpture (Hamilton, NJ)
#2016
This Friday morning, a dozen of Princeton inlingua® students visited the famous Grounds for Sculpture. One of our teachers, an alumna of Columbia and Princeton Universities, guided them on a narrated tour of different parts of the John Seward Johnson’s sculptural universe. Thus, the students could find out about Johnson’s unique artistic project that is this sculpture garden and artists’ colony, as well as about his special passion for the French painters, especially those of the Impressionist movement. They also appreciated the work by other sculptors from around the world in a variety of styles. All who attended responded to this sunlit visit with enthusiasm. A lunch at the Peacock Cafe concluded the beautiful outing.
Our next excursion will be the Independence Hall and Historic Monument in Philadelphia in September.
