Please join us in welcoming Mr. Bennett Sierens to the staff here at Logan Junior High School! Mr Sierens will be the new 8th grade resource teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Bennett attended Loras College in DuBuque, Iowa and completed his degree in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Special Education. He completed his student teaching at two different elementary schools in the Dubuque area, and says it was an amazing experience for him.

"Growing up in Tiskilwa, and being a graduate of Princeton High School", Bennett said, "I am excited to come back and teach in the same school districts that I attended." He is the oldest of six kids in his family, and many current staff members have probably already dealt with a few of his siblings. "If you haven’t," he tells Logan, "there are two more that will go through, so watch out!" In addition to teaching here, he coaches football and baseball at the Princeton High School. When he finds free time, he loves watching sports, and being outdoors either fishing or hunting.

"I am extremely excited to be in this building, and connecting with each of you. I love working with students and staff members, and leaving a positive impact on those I work with."

We are equally excited to welcome you, Bennett, and look forward to your return to Princeton Elementary!

The students in 6th grade Science have had a great start learning about science skills and lab safety. The students participated in a cup stacking challenge using only a rubber band and strings to move the cups. The students did an outstanding job working in teams, communicating their ideas, and solving different challenges. We are looking forward to a wonderful year learning science together!

What a busy and fun-filled week in Mrs. Kull’s class!

Our students had a wonderful week filled with hands-on learning and exciting experiences! We learned about electronics using Snap Circuits and had fun building a musical doorbell.

On Thursday, we took a walk to the Bureau County Fair to explore the exhibits and see the animals. While there, we had the exciting opportunity to watch a cow being milked! We talked about how milk travels from the farm all the way to our homes—and the students even got to pet the cow.

On Friday, after learning about new roller coasters throughout the United States, we wrapped up our week by making Twists Pasta Salad.

It was a full week of fun, learning, exploring, and making memories! We are so proud of all the wonderful things our students experienced and learned this week!
