Employment Opportunity

Stone Hill Learning Center is searching for a part-time elementary/middle school science teacher for the balance of the 2025-26 academic year. Consider joining us as we help educate the next generation of world-changers! This position is available immediately and continues until the end of May.

Specifics:
· Teach an elementary earth science class on Thursday mornings
· Teach a middle school earth science class on Thursday afternoons
· Both classes use the same Apologia curriculum: Exploring Creation with Earth Science
· Small class sizes (less than 12 students in each class)

A Learning Center teacher must be a committed Christian, hold a college degree, and have experience teaching children and/or teens. Adventure awaits at Stone Hill Learning Center! Recently our science classes visited the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, NJ.  The UV fluorescing minerals are captivating! 

Performance Improvisation Club for Middle School and older!! Starts Tuesday, October 7 

Did you know that you use improvisation every day? We are constantly reacting to the situations around us day-to-day, but when we become conscious of the fact, we freeze up! In this club we will set guidelines to stir creativity, structure games and scenarios to give us a "playground" for that creativity and apply confidence through a better understanding of our capabilities. Through playing these improvisation games, this club will help students grow in quick thinking skills, confidence, creative expression, thoughtful reactions, and collaboration.

Information about the Teacher:
Sarah Coto has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater from Regent University. She has directed musicals, full length plays, smaller scenes and skits and has 300+ students in drama classes over 5 years with ages ranging from 6 to 18. She currently works as a drama teacher at Wilberforce School in Princeton to 11th and 12th grade students. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Stonehill Learning Center!

Ages: 11 and up
Cost: $240 per student ($40 discount for siblings)
Time: 3:45pm to 4:45pm (students will be watched by a SHLC staff member from 3:15 to 3:45pm)
Dates:
10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4,
11/11 student performance date in class!
11/18 (makeup class if a previous class is cancelled)

You do not need to be a Stone Hill Learning Center student to participate in our clubs.
