The Council of the Princeton University Community (CPUC) Election results are in, congratulations to our newly elected graduate student representatives!

The GSG is pleased to announce that the election for graduate student seats on the Council of Princeton University Community (CPUC) has been completed following our monthly assembly on Monday (April 27th, 2026). A warm congratulations to all the elected students, thank you for stepping up to represent your peers in this important shared governance body to shape the university-level policies in aspects such as governance, rules and rights, judiciary, priorities, resources and naming.

What is the CPUC?
Established in 1969, the CPUC is a permanent, representative governance body at Princeton University. Its members – including faculty, students, staff, and alumni – raise issues and offer suggestions to improve University life. The Council meets about six times per year, and its meetings are open to the entire Princeton community. Learn more at www.cpuc.princeton.edu

How the election worked?
Graduate students rated each candidate on a 1–5 scale (5 = highest). The popular vote serves as a recommendation to the GSG Assembly, which will cast the final votes tonight (Monday at 7pm in Robertson 100). Each department, program, or student affinity group gets one vote. All graduate students are welcome to attend the Assembly, even if you’re not a representative.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you to every graduate student who participated in this process. Your voice matters in shaping Princeton’s future.
