Our Grade 5–8 students showed off their scientific prowess at the annual FASP Science Fair last week. They spent months learning how to formulate hypotheses, design valid experiments, and analyze their data, and it really showed in their final presentations. Visitors got to learn about everything from bridge construction to the effect of talking to house plants. A huge thank you to our science teachers and impartial judges for scoring the posters and oral presentations, and a hearty congratulations to this year’s winners and participants for putting their curiosity on full display! 🔬✨

On Friday, April 24, an Ocelot met an audience of Lynx as acclaimed filmmaker Michel Ocelot visited FASP! 🐆
Renowned for Kirikou and the Sorceress and Dilili in Paris, Michel Ocelot has won two César Awards, a BAFTA, and received an Honorary Cristal at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2022. He is also a Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.
Ocelot was joined by Princeton doctoral student Yassine Ait Ali and esteemed guests directly following a screening for students in grades 4-8 of The Black Pharaoh, the Savage and the Princess (Le Pharaon, le Sauvage et la Princesse).
The students were prepared with a variety of questions for the filmmaker, who charmed the audience with his sparkling demeanor and kind attention to the questions of the students.
Ocelot visited Princeton in conjunction with the Princeton French Film Festival, which offers dozens of screenings of French films during the months of March and April. FASP is a proud sponsor of this year's film festival.
