We can get so accustomed to what our bodies allow us to do that we stop noticing it.
Think about how much of your life is shaped by what your body allows you to experience. The places you go, the things you try, the ways you challenge yourself, the movement you enjoy. So much of it becomes part of your everyday life that you rarely stop to appreciate the physical capacity behind it.
And that capacity can change. An injury, an illness, an unexpected diagnosis, aging, or a major life transition can shift the way we move through the world. Something that once felt effortless might require more time, support, or a different approach. Our relationship with movement can look entirely different from one season of life to the next.
I think about this often in my work as a personal trainer. Strength is something we get to build, nurture, and carry with us into the lives we’re living. It’s an investment in our ability to participate, to explore, to feel capable in our bodies, and to keep doing the things that make us feel alive.
And that investment looks different for everyone. Some people are building strength after an injury or surgery. Others are learning to trust their bodies again after years of feeling disconnected from them. Some are discovering what they’re capable of for the very first time. Every one of those experiences deserves care, patience, and respect.
Wherever you are in your relationship with movement, your body deserves that investment. ❤️🔥
If you’ve been wanting to invest in your strength and build a relationship with movement that supports the life you’re living, send me a message. I’d love to talk about what that could look like for you. ❤️🔥
