University of Illinois Extension develops educational programs, extends knowledge, and builds partnerships to support people, communities, and their environments as part of the state's land-grant institution. Extension serves as the leading public outreach effort for University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences in all 102 Illinois counties through a network of 27 multi-county units and over 700 staff statewide. From reading recipes to mastering kitchen terms, explore interesting ways to get creative with ingredients and make tasty meals. We will meet for six weeks learning new skills to create delicious food, ending with a dinner party where you can invite one adult guest. Illinois Extension 4-H and OSF HealthCare are partnering to bring this great program to you.

Can you spot the Master Naturalists? 🕵🏻‍♂️They were off to work at Plum Island Eagle Sanctuary at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. This site in the middle of the Illinois River is managed by Illinois Audubon Society. Volunteers have been working diligently here for years, removing invasives, planting trees, and restoring the site to offer a piece of habitat for local eagles.
