🚨 Meet the Staff Monday: This week we are introducing the Science Department, English Department, and Dyslexia Teacher!
🔬 Science Department
Rachel Lopez
Mrs. Lopez is a McKinney native and a graduate of the University of North Texas. She has taught science in Plano ISD and Princeton ISD and holds certifications in Science and ESL. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
Brenda Cropp
Mrs. Cropp brings 13 years of middle school teaching experience, including math and science. She enjoys volunteering at Lakepointe Church, crocheting, spending time with her family, and cheering on her four daughters. She looks forward to another wonderful year serving students.
Paige Dixon
Ms. Dixon enters her 11th year in education and will also serve as Yearbook Advisor and coach volleyball, basketball, and track. Originally from Chicago and most recently living in Las Vegas, she enjoys traveling, basketball, family adventures, and spending time with her husband and one-year-old daughter, Dru.
Joey Hickey
Mr. Hickey is entering his third year teaching science while coaching three sports at Banschbach. Before Princeton ISD, he served as an athletic coordinator and PE teacher. He also spent several years as a sportswriter covering college football and the NFL. In his spare time, he enjoys powerlifting, writing music, and watching college football.
Kametrice Kleinman
Mrs. Kleinman has six years of teaching experience, primarily in high school science. She and her husband recently moved to McKinney with their young son, and their move was even featured on HGTV’s House Hunters! She is passionate about creating engaging science lessons and is proud to be a TIA Designated teacher.
📚 English Department
Takeithia Stewart
Ms. Stewart is beginning her fourth year in Princeton ISD and her second year teaching 6th Grade RLA. Previously at Mattei Middle School, she coached cheer for three years while creating lasting memories with students. A proud mother of two, she enjoys spending time with her family and is excited to make Banschbach her new home.
Hannah Work
Originally from Bryant, Arkansas, Ms. Work is a graduate of Central Baptist College, where she played collegiate softball as a starting pitcher. She has taught for two years while also coaching volleyball and softball. In her free time, she enjoys reading, creating art, spending time with family, and relaxing with her cats, Hank and Midnight.
Breuniece Turner
Mrs. Turner is entering her sixth year in education and holds a degree in Middle School Education with emphases in Language Arts and Social Studies from Southern Arkansas University. After teaching in Frisco ISD and Princeton ISD, she is excited to continue helping students become confident readers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.
Daniel Lee Clemons
Mr. Clemons has taught both Texas History and Reading Language Arts over the past four years. He is passionate about helping students discover the importance of reading in everyday life. Outside of school, he serves as Youth Minister at Faith Princeton and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Apologetics.
Trinity Varvel
Mrs. Varvel is entering her third year in Princeton ISD after previously teaching at Mattei Middle School. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs while making a positive impact on students’ academic growth.
Kimberly Cook
Mrs. Cook begins her seventh year in education and holds certifications in ELAR and ESL. She loves creating hands-on learning experiences that build student confidence and critical thinking. Outside the classroom, she enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, church, spending time with family, and caring for her two dogs and thirteen chickens.
Michaela Brannon
Mrs. Brannon brings more than 15 years of educational experience and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. Most recently, she served as an English teacher, ESL teacher, and LPAC Coordinator in Princeton ISD. She enjoys reading, trying new things, and spending time with her husband, three daughters, and four grandsons.
Michele Di Giorno
Mrs. Di Giorno is a native Texan and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied Art History and Latin. She also holds a master’s degree in Education and Linguistics from the University of North Texas. With more than two decades of experience teaching English and language acquisition, she is certified in EC–12 ESL, 4–8 ELAR, 7–12 ELAR, EC–4 ESL Generalist, and EC–12 Art. ESL is a true passion of hers, and she is dedicated to helping every student grow and succeed.

Amy Garcia
Mrs. Garcia joins Banschbach with one year of paraprofessional experience and nine years as a classroom teacher. Before Princeton ISD, she taught middle school in Keller and coached girls athletics. A graduate of the University of North Texas, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three grown sons, and their two beloved dogs. She is excited to support students and families as Banschbach’s Dyslexia Teacher.
