A highlight in Class Three Bible is the opportunity to partner with a missionary to connect, pray for, and learn about sharing the gospel around the world. Last week, we had a wonderful visit from Juan Pascua from Word of Life Ministry, who disciples through Bible Camps and Institutes to reach Argetina's youth.

Our summer camps have officially ended! During Week 3, Middle Schoolers stayed active in the Multi-Sport and Fitness Camp, playing various sports and learning the basics of strength and agility training. Upper elementary students enjoyed the Knitting Camp, mastering new techniques. Aspiring designers tackled challenging projects in the Adobe InDesign course, learning to constructively critique their work. Meanwhile, dancers of all levels celebrated Christmas in July at the Nutcracker Ballet Camp, ending with a performance for family and friends.

Thank you to all the families for entrusting your students to our camps. We hope they had fun, made friends, and learned new skills. Have a great summer, and see you in the fall!

Another exciting week of camp is in the books! During Week 2, our campers dove into the jungle theme with engaging games, activities, and stories. Budding artists created stunning paintings using acrylics and watercolors en plein air (in open air). Middle schoolers channeled their passion for theater, learning to stage a play from start to finish, complete with props, costumes, and developing their voice projection and character role-play skills. It was a fun and memorable time spent with friends!

We’ll be taking a break for the next two weeks but will be back for Week 3 of camps starting July 15th. There are still some spots open https://www.wilberforceschool.org/campus-life/summer-opportunities-2020

06/29/2024

Week 1 of our summer camps is complete! From pretend play to drawing, debate, dance, and soccer, students developed new skills, formed new friendships, deepened old ones, and created many sweet memories. Join us for new adventures starting next Monday!

It was breezy and sunny today… the perfect day for Lower School Field Day! We are incredibly proud of all our students for showing good sportsmanship and for challenging themselves athletically. A special thank you to all the faculty and staff who spent hours preparing for this event, grade 9 students who volunteered at each of the stations, and parents who contributed snacks and drinks and cheered on our students. Students in 9th grade Classical Roots toured neoclassical monuments in New York and visited the Greek and Roman collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The students were their own tour guides as they presented their research on Greek and Roman artifacts to their classmates.

-

The Grade 9 Latin class went to the Penn Museum to explore their Etruscan and Roman collections. Each student presented on a category of art and a specific object at the museum that they spent the prior two weeks researching. Both the presentations and the museum’s collections enhanced their understanding of the Greco-Roman world.

Boys’ Squad:
It was a great day of racing at Penn! The quad of Caleb Brox, Micah Brox, Aaron Szeliga, and Philip Schidlovsky ran with guts and speed with a season best 3:44.58!

We are so proud of you all! Go Wolverines!
