What a wonderful way to kick off another school year! Today, I had the opportunity to visit Lovelady High School to welcome our students and staff back for the first day of school. I also stopped by Smith Elementary to welcome our Smith Stars ⭐ and seeing their smiling faces and excitement as they walked through those doors absolutely made my heart happy! A special shout out to my heartbeats who started their first day of 10th grade and 5th grade.

Yesterday, I also had the pleasure of joining our elementary teachers for their back-to-school luncheon. I just had to share a few pictures because the energy, excitement, and love for our students across this district are truly something special.

To our teachers, staff, administrators, families, and everyone working behind the scenes…THANK YOU! Thank you for all you do for our students, our schools, and our community. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.

And to our students: Have an AMAZING school year! Learn big, dream big, be kind, and make it count! 💙📚✨

📣 IT’S OFFICIAL! 📣 I’M RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION!

After much thought, prayer, and conversations with my family, I’ve made the decision to seek another term on the Princeton ISD Board of Trustees (2026–2029). Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I’ve learned a lot these past 5 years, worked to listen more, ask tough questions, advocate better for students and staff, and lead with transparency and accountability, and yes, there is still more work to do! 📚

I’m running again because I believe in Princeton ISD, our students, and our educators, and I believe our community deserves leadership that continues to show up, listen, and push for better.

My commitment remains simple: Students first. Strong and safe schools. Responsible stewardship. Transparent leadership.

My signs will be available soon, but I’m officially asking for your support! 🙌🏾 I would be honored to earn your vote this November.

It’s almost that time!

Below are the school start times for the 2026-2027 school year. Note, early dropoff for all elementary campuses (Carrell, Godwin, Green, Harper, James, Lacy, Lowe, Mayfield and Smith) and both early childhood centers (Canup and Perkins) is available between 7-7:30 a.m., but registration is required.

I’m a little late, but I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙
I was grateful to spend the day with my amazing friends and family, making memories I’ll always cherish. This holiday is both a celebration and a time of reflection. I’m thankful for the freedoms we’ve gained, mindful of the work still ahead, and hopeful for the future we continue building together.
I hope you all had a safe, joyful, and blessed holiday! 🇺🇸

Happy Juneteenth, y’all! Today, we honor June 19, 1865, the day the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It’s a powerful reminder that freedom, justice, and equality are still worth pursuing and protecting.

As the first African American woman elected to the Princeton ISD Board of Trustees, I carry deep gratitude for the resilience and sacrifice of those who came before me, their courage made MY opportunities possible. Today I celebrate their legacy and recommit to building a future where every child knows their worth, their potential, and their ability to succeed.

Celebrate freedom. Honor the past. Build the future. 🤎🖤💛💚❤️

In celebration of Dr. MLK Jr. Day, Princeton ISD schools will be closed.

Princeton ISD schools and offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, for MLK Day. Normal office hours and classes resume Tuesday, Jan. 20.
