Preschool 3 Blue used their collaborative play skills to take turns pulling one another in a cart! By using both their arms and legs to pull the cart, the children build their gross motor skills and hand eye coordination. The children take turns riding and pulling encouraging important social skills and vocabulary like "your turn!", "Please", "Thank you!", and "Great Job!"

We celebrated National Playdough Day in our classrooms by experimenting with the properties of playdough! Working with playdough encourages fine motor skills as children knead and move the playdough with their hands. By providing different forms of play dough tools such as rollers, molds, and cookie cutters, we encourage children's curiosity and experimentation as they work to see what shapes they can make with their playdough.

With all the changes in weather we have had lately, Infant 3 Blue got outside to explore and enjoy the sunshine! Infants can learn so much just by being outside! Outdoors we can expand on our fine motor skills by rolling a ball back and forth or by crawling and moving about the playground. This is also a great opportunity to begin introducing new vocabulary concepts to the children by discussing what is going on around us such as "Look at the sun, its so bright!" or "Can you feel the breeze?" ☀😎

Two's 4 Blue used their creative expression as they chose a color of paint and used a cup as a stamp to create circles! By repurposing the cups for artwork, the children learn to think creatively about different ways that they can use everyday objects around them! 🎨

Toddler 3 Gold had a pretend picnic in their classroom with baby dolls! This type of imitation play helps children practice social skills such as sharing and saying please and thank you! This picnic experience also opens up conversations all about different types of food such as which foods we like and dislike and where different foods come from!🥦🍗
