Great News!

🚨 Breaking News: A NEW Turn Lane Has Been Added at CCES! 🚨

To help improve traffic flow during dismissal, we've updated the traffic pattern in the Elementary Visitor Parking Lot.

Right turn lane: Reserved for middle school car rider line overflow.

Center turn lane: For parents exiting campus who are NOT picking up at the middle school.

Left lane: Dedicated entry into the Elementary School student pickup line.

What's new?
The left lane will remain the Elementary School pickup lane throughout dismissal. Parents will no longer need to switch lanes after the buses leave, making the pickup process smoother and more efficient for everyone.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue working to improve dismissal traffic!

Today we officially welcomed our newest Tigers during 6th Grade Orientation! 🐅🚧💙💛

As we continue our “Building Leaders” journey this school year, today was the first step in laying a strong foundation for success. Our newest students had the opportunity to meet their teachers, explore the building, learn expectations, and begin building the confidence they’ll need to thrive in middle school.

Just like any great construction project, strong schools are built one step at a time. Together, we’ll be building leadership, responsibility, character, and lifelong relationships throughout the year. We can’t wait to watch these students grow into confident leaders both inside and outside the classroom.

Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, student leaders, and families who helped make today a success. Your support is helping us build something incredible at Caldwell County Middle School.

To our 6th graders: Grab your hard hats—we’re ready to build an amazing year together! The foundation has been poured, and we can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish.

We’re building more than a school year… we’re building leaders! 🚧🔨💙💛

🚧 Back-to-School Countdown: Car Rider Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures 🚗🐯

Our first day of school is almost here! Help us make arrival and dismissal safe, efficient, and stress-free for everyone by following these important car rider procedures.

🌞 Morning Drop-Off
🕖 Doors open at 7:00 AM.
⏰ The tardy bell rings at 7:45 AM.

Please remember:
✅ Pull all the way forward to the car in front of you.
✅ Students should exit the vehicle as soon as your car reaches the sidewalk, regardless of how close you are to the front entrance.
✅ Have backpacks, lunches, instruments, and other belongings ready before reaching the sidewalk.
✅ Say your goodbyes before pulling up so students can exit quickly.
🚫 Do not drop students off on the gym side of the building. All student drop-off must take place in the front car rider line.

🌆 Afternoon Pick-Up
🚌 Our dismissal bell rings once all buses have arrived and are lined up, which is typically around 2:50 PM. Car riders will be dismissed as soon as the buses have departed.
To help our line move quickly:
✅ Pull all the way forward to the car in front of you.
✅ Students should be watching for their vehicle and be ready to load.
✅ Students should enter the vehicle as soon as it reaches the sidewalk, no matter where it stops along the sidewalk.
🚫 Please do not pick up students on the gym side of the building.

Your patience and cooperation help us keep every student safe while ensuring traffic moves as efficiently as possible. Thank you for partnering with us to make the start and end of each school day a success!

🏗️ We're building a great year together—see you soon, Tigers! 💙💛

📚🧭 Building Leaders, One Day at a Time! 🧭📚

Today, our Caldwell County Middle School teachers along with a few others spent the day learning, collaborating, and growing together at the George C**n Public Library during our Leader in Me Professional Development.

As we continue our school-wide construction theme of building tomorrow’s leaders, we’re investing in strategies that empower every student to discover their strengths, develop leadership skills, and create a positive school culture. We are excited to bring back new ideas that will help our students lead with confidence, responsibility, and purpose.

☺️A big thank you to the George C**n Public Library for hosting us and supporting education in our community. We can’t wait to put today’s learning into action as we prepare for an amazing school year!

As we count down to the 🎉 FIRST day of school 🥳, we’re continuing our countdown with one of the most powerful habits of a successful leader: Putting First Things First (Habit 3) and Beginning with the End in Mind (Habit 2)! 🌟

Leaders Stay Focused & Ready to Learn! 📱 Leaders know that creating a great learning environment means keeping distractions out of the way so everyone can succeed.
To help maintain a focused, distraction-free environment and comply with Kentucky state law, our school is updating its cell phone and personal device policy. 🏛️

Students are expected to keep their phones put away during the school day unless given explicit permission by a staff member. If a student is caught using a phone without permission during school hours, the following steps will be taken:
⚠️ 1st Offense: Minor discipline infraction (warning). The phone will be sent to the main office, and the student may pick it up at the end of the day.
📲 2nd Offense: Minor discipline infraction. The phone will be sent to the main office, and a parent/guardian must pick it up at the end of the day.
📋 3rd & 4th Offenses: Major discipline infraction (Office Referral). The phone will be sent to the office, and a parent/guardian must pick it up.
🚨 5th Offense: Major discipline infraction (Office Referral). The phone will be sent to the office, and a parent/guardian must pick it up. Additionally, the student will no longer be permitted to carry a phone during the school day. Moving forward, the student must either leave their phone at home OR turn their phone into the main office daily upon arrival (the student is responsible for dropping it off and picking it up each day).

🎧 Wireless Audio Devices (Earbuds & Headphones):
Earbuds and headphones cannot be worn during the school day unless a staff member gives explicit permission for an approved academic purpose in class.
It is at the teacher's discretion what type of audio device is used in the classroom.
🚸 Hallway Safety:
For safety reasons, headphones/earbuds should never be worn in the hallways at any time—this includes wearing them over the ears or resting around the neck.

By Being Proactive (Habit 1), our student leaders can set themselves up for an amazing school year! We appreciate your partnership in keeping classroom distractions low and ensuring our hallways remain safe.

Please review these expectations with your child. 🤝
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the main office.

Countdown to the 🎉FIRST DAY of SCHOOL🥳

Day 2 of 10: Leaders are Transparent. They Don’t Hide Their Success! 🌟

📢 Middle School Reminders: Water Bottles, Outside Food, & Drinks 📢
Help us keep our school safe, clean, and ready to learn! Please review these key policy reminders with your student:

💧 Water Bottles: Clear water bottles only! Please note that Stanley cups, Owala bottles, or similar tumblers are NOT allowed. All permitted clear water bottles must be stored in lockers during class time.

🚫 No Outside Food/Drinks: Fast food, coffee, and gas station items are not allowed on campus. Please make sure items like morning McDonald's drinks, breakfast biscuits, or specialty lattes are finished before drop-off!

⚡ No Energy Drinks: Energy drinks are strictly prohibited on campus at all times.

🥤 Lunchtime Drinks: Canned sodas are allowed, but only during designated lunch times in the cafeteria.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school day running smoothly! 💙
