All Mercer County WVU Mountaineer Parents and Students are invited to attend the Summer Send-off on August 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Parish Prayer Garden, 507 Harrison St, Princeton, WV.
This will be a potluck meal. Parents are asked to bring a dish to share.

A $200 textbook scholarship card to the WVU Bookstore will be given away to two lucky students.

Getting in your Dr.'s notes and parents notes just got easier!

There is a new digital form available for Student Absence Excuses.

The digital form will replace the process of parents writing absence excuse notes and sending them to the school.
The digital form allows attachments of Doctors’ notes; no need for any paper. Parents can take a pic with their phone and submit the Dr. note with the digital excuse form.
This QR code is for all schools. The same form is used for everyone in the county. Parents will select the school of their child at the top of the form.
The form submissions go directly to your school Secretary.

Want to be creative????

Rocky says it’s time to redo our coloring book!

For the past few years, the initiative has been working to educate our younger kids about the importance of cleaning up our community and the power of recycling! We have also taken Rocky on some pretty cool locations around the county, showcasing how tourism plays a role in our economic mobility!

So, at Rocky’s request, we are redesigning our coloring book to add some new locations, games, and a few surprises to an all NEW COLORING BOOK!!!

In cooperation with the Visit Mercer County, WV Convention and Visitors Bureau, we are looking for eight (8) to ten (10) middle and high school students to meet at the Mercer County Courthouse on Wednesday, April 2nd at 4:00 pm.

If you have an interest in participating, please PM your desire by this Friday! Youth that participate will be awarded 10 HOURS of community service!!!!
