š£Well, itās official!š£
Clegane, now āMackā, has found his new home at the amazing Rustic Way Ranch š
Making the decision to sell him was not made lightly. I had very high standards for his new owners. Thankfully, Brooke and Court meet and exceed every standard! Truly, Clegane couldnāt be in better hands ā¤ļø
For those who know Cleggy, you know heās incredibly people-oriented, intelligent, and has a strong work ethic. He is able to connect with people on a deeply emotional level. Well, he will get to utilize all of his strengths with his new purpose as a therapy and lesson horse in Rustic Wayās program!
Not only is he in the best hands, but he isnāt far either! Be sure to take a trip out to Rustic Way Ranch in Melissa, TX to say hello and see the incredible work they do each dayš„°

This hasnāt been an easy decision, but I am needing to downsize my little herd in preparation for baby Brysonās arrival this yearš¶š»
Clegane (aka Cleggy) has been the best member of our lesson family for the past 2 years. As sad as I am to see him go, I know he will make someone SO happy!

19hh Belgian Gelding
Meet Clegane, a stunning 7-year-old Belgian Draft gelding standing at a true 19hhā a rare find for the rider looking for a safe, intelligent, and kind giant with room to continue developing in your desired direction.
Clegane is a fan favorite at our barn and has been used regularly in lessons with experienced riders. He is broke to ride, enjoys having a job, and thrives when learning new things. With his size, brain, and temperament, heās well-suited for someone wanting to continue to grow his riding experience, introduce driving, or utilize and expand his liberty work.
šHighlightsš
ā¢Completely soundā PPEs are welcome at buyerās expense
ā¢Easy keeper with clean health history
ā¢Loads, leads, ties
ā¢Stands great for the farrier WITHOUT STOCKS
ā¢Sweet, gentle, people-oriented personality
ā¢Very intelligent and eager to learn
ā¢Up-to-date on all vaccines, Coggins, dental, etc.
ā¢Broke to rideā goes in a halter
ā¢Solid liberty foundationā has competed and placed highly in multiple liberty competitions as part of our youth liberty competition team!
šImportant Notesš
Clegane is not suitable for beginners and will not be sold as someoneās first horse unless they are under the supervision of a trainer. While he is safe and kind, he is still what I would consider to be āgreenā in his training and, due to his size and strength, requires a knowledgeable, experienced handler who understands large horses and wants to give him a long-term career.
He does have a mild parrot mouth, but it is purely cosmetic and does not affect his eating, soundness, or performance.
This is a difficult sale as he is very loved, but I am downsizing my herd. Finding the right home is my top priority.

This might not look like a significant momentā it looks like a cute little red and white Paint mare coming to say hello.
But this little mare is Shiloh, and today was the first day I opened the gate after our training session and she decided I was more fun to be around than her herd.
You see, Shiloh is estimated to be around 12/13 years old and, until August 1st, had never been handled. Her owners inherited her from a neighbor and havenāt been able to touch her since owning her.
She was the definition of scared. Every noise, every movement, every object was terrifying. She was feral, and still is in a lot of ways, but she is transforming.
Shiloh is not the type of horse you can throw a rope around and ābreakā. No, she was willing to hurt herself to try and get away from people. She needed to learn to trust people.
This is the beauty of liberty. In the first few days of working with Shiloh, she started taking a few steps towards me. In the first few weeks, she learned to follow me. In the first month, she learned that I can pet her and it isnāt too bad. She even started accepting the halter!
Then she reverted back as if I hadnāt spent a single day with her. I canāt explain why, but she went back to being terrified. I couldnāt even touch her. Thatās hard as a trainer who desperately wants to help a horse.
But progress is not linear.
So we went back to the beginning. Patience and understanding HAVE to be at the forefront of training, especially with horses like Shiloh. She needed me to be consistent and reliable. Trustworthy.
So I continued to give her to choice through liberty.
Then she had a breakthrough.
Doing liberty every day, being consistent and patient, and gaining her trust, she finally started showing signs of being more comfortable with the idea of me.
That was just a few weeks ago. Now I am able to get her haltered every day, pet her without her running away, and sheās beginning to understand the basics of lunging!
Is she still feral? Yup. But sheās taking steps in the right direction for the first time in her life.
It takes a lot to unlearn 12/13 years of fear. So for miss Shiloh to CHOOSE to hang out with me a little longer instead of going immediately to her herd after our session today, thatās huge.
Iāll be sure to post more updates about her progress in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
