5th graders enjoyed participating in the Caines Arcade project! They really got a chance to think in a visual and creative way.

Ms. Peters and Mrs. Sprouse’s class had a fun-filled Bubble Day where students explored the science behind how bubbles are made and why they work! Students also participated in exciting bubble gum races and practiced learning how to blow bubbles. It was a hands-on day full of learning, teamwork, and lots of smiles!

3rd graders designed their own products and set up a market in the cafeteria where students could shop with fake money. They had a blast!

The 4th grade field trip was a huge success! Parents, students and teachers alike learned something valuable while visiting the Frontiers of Flight Museum on Friday.

Mrs. Richard's students had an Auggie Day! The students discussed how to handle different scenarios that Auggie experienced in their book. After discussing the problem and solution, they discussed different themes that they learned from his experiences, and how they could apply that to their own life. They also read a poem/note/quote they all wrote to Auggie to encourage him through his experiences. They discussed the importance of showing kindness to others and being a great person and friend.

What a week! With a combined focus on spelling, vocabulary, pen pals and science projects-students experienced how content areas complement each other! Students shared their projects with classmates, explored word relationships, and wrote back their pen pals in Spain sharing what was learned in school this year.

Students spent the past several weeks analyzing poems so they could think and write like a poet. Mrs. Wallace and her students ended their poetry unit with a poetry slam at “StarBooks” where they got to present and analyze their own poems!
