AoPS founder Richard Rusczyk said it best: "There are many paths to strong problem solving skills. Mathematics is the shortest." But puzzles? They're a very close second.

In this piece from Beast Academy creator Jason Batterson, he breaks down how a single puzzle called Scurry (https://beastacademy.com/puzzles/daily/scurry) calls on nearly every core problem-solving skill: working backwards, recognizing patterns, guess and check, eliminating possibilities... all wrapped up in something kids actually want to do.
