πŸ“š LITERATURE COMES TO LIFE! πŸ¦β€β¬›

J.E.J. Moore Middle School's seventh-grade Advanced English students have been exploring the life and literary works of Edgar Allan Poe through some exciting hands-on learning experiences!

Students recently visited the Poe Museum in Richmond, exploring historical artifacts and learning more about the famous author's life. Back in the classroom, students dove into several of Poe's classic stories before putting their creativity to work through projects ranging from alternate endings and mood boards to dramatic retellings!

Families will have a chance to see their students' creativity on display during Moore's Learning Expo event on October 21, featuring student projects, plot diagrams, and dramatic performances ✍️🎭

As we continue to celebrate National Principals Month, today’s spotlight is on another one of our outstanding PGCPS principals!
A principal's work extends far beyond the school day. It takes leadership, patience, heart, countless hours, and personal sacrifice to support students, encourage staff, partner with families, and build a school community where everyone can succeed.
Throughout October, we’re proud to recognize the dedicated leaders who give so much of themselves to their schools each and every day.
Take a moment to check out today’s Principal Spotlight and learn a little more about one of the people helping lead PGCPS The Royal Way!
πŸ’šπŸ’› Thank you to our principals for all you do to Engage, Encourage, and Inspire Every Child, Every Day!

Today, Prince George High School hosted a College Fair, giving students the opportunity to connect with college representatives from across Virginia. Students enjoyed learning about different colleges, exploring academic programs, and discovering opportunities to help them plan for their futures.

πŸ› πŸ€ For a third year, dozens of businesses, agencies and our armed forces pitched career opportunities to the next generation during Prince George High School's career fair event.

Beyond just a meet-and-greet, the event serves as a key part of PGHS's career and technical education initiatives and allows students to ask focused questions to managers and leaders to learn valuable information on career pathways after high school!

Thank you to our partners for donating their time and knowledge to our Royals! Can't wait to see you next year!
