Reminder: There is an Early Dismissal on Monday, Oct. 12, and schools are closed for students on Friday, Oct. 16 for Professional Learning.

Oct. 12 will be a Two-Hour Early Dismissal for Parent Conferences. Morning and afternoon half-day Pre-K classes will not meet on early release days.

Transportation Reminder for Early Dismissal Days:
Buses will transport students two hours earlier than usual to their regular afternoon drop-off locations.

Important for Parents of K–2 Students:
An adult must be present at drop-off. If no adult is available, your child will be returned to their school, which may delay transportation for other students later in the day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

“This is the best day ever!”

Last Friday, Sophia earned a 6-piece chicken nugget lunch through PBIS. Imagine her surprise when she received 7 nuggets!

On Friday, Sophia also earned this school year’s first Positive Referral for the excellent job she did exhibiting self-control in a situation that was very difficult for her.

Congratulations Sophia 👏🏼 and we hope you have more “best” days!

School is back in session, and Sheriff Ricky Cox and the men and women of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office are thrilled to welcome students and staff, for another great school year in partnership with Calvert County Public Schools.
