Detour Kids & Community Service

We believe community service helps to build character, responsibility, discipline, and teamwork. We teach our youth the importance of giving back to the community. We allow them hands on experience through volunteer work like delivering food to the elderly and helping out in the community garden.

DETOUR: Doing Everything To Operate Under Respect

The mission of DETOUR is to educate, uplift, inspire hope, in our youth and young adults while building positive character through the use of community service, academics, sports, arts, and music. DETOUR believes this approach will “detour” some, if not all, youth away from the guns, gangs, illegal drugs, and widespread violence that permeates the city of Pritchard, Alabama.
