Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Visual Arts Teacher for students in grades 6 through 8 at Mont Harmon Middle School in Price, UT. Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and a valid Utah teaching license or willingness to complete the requirements to earn a professional license.

The visual arts teacher fosters creativity, artistic skill development, and appreciation for visual arts while helping students explore a variety of media, techniques, and artistic traditions. Instruction aligns with district curriculum and state visual arts standards while supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Plan and deliver engaging visual arts lessons aligned with district curriculum and state standards.

-Teach foundational art concepts including elements of art and principles of design.

-Provide instruction in a variety of media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, and digital art when available.

-Introduce students to art history, cultural influences in art, and contemporary artists.

-Demonstrate artistic techniques and guide students through creative processes.

-Adapt instruction and materials to meet diverse student learning needs.

-Evaluate student learning through projects, portfolios, critiques, and participation.

-Provide constructive feedback to help students refine artistic skills and techniques.

-Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.

-Attend staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.

-Maintain inventory of art supplies and request materials as needed.

-Follow district policies, procedures, and applicable state education regulations.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a YIC Aide at the Castle Country Youth Detention Center in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The YIC Classroom Aide provides instructional and behavioral support to students in the Youth in Custody (YIC) program at the Castle Country Youth Center. Under the direction of licensed teachers and program supervisors, the aide assists with daily classroom activities, helps implement individualized education plans, and supports a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for students in a secure facility setting.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and assignments.

· Provide one-on-one or small group academic support to students.

· Support classroom management by reinforcing rules, expectations, and positive behaviors.

· Monitor and supervise students to ensure safety and security within the classroom setting.

· Assist with preparation and organization of instructional materials.

· Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual student needs as directed by the teacher.

· Communicate effectively with teachers, youth center staff, and program administrators.

· Maintain confidentiality of student and facility information in compliance with policies and laws.

· Participate in required training related to YIC education and safety procedures.

Will work approximately 29 hours per week. Beginning pay is $17.59

Please note: This is a position for a Youth In Care classroom aide located at Castle Country Youth Center, which is a detention center for youth ages 10-25. It is a locked facility. Additional state requirements will be necessary prior to start date.

Must have the ability to communicate with all stakeholders,ability to follow directions as well as knowledge of the skills and strategies of the game of basketball. This is a part time seasonal position working about 10 hours per week.

The Intervention Aide supports high school students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success by providing targeted assistance under the direction of certified staff. This position focuses on helping students meet learning goals, reinforcing classroom instruction, and supporting intervention programs.

Carbon School District is seeking applications for a Band Assistant at Carbon High School in Price, Utah. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a Live Scan fingerprint background screening. The High School Marching Band Assistant will support the Band Director in providing instruction, supervision, and leadership to students participating in the high school marching band program. The successful candidate will help create a positive, engaging, and disciplined environment while assisting students in developing their musical performance, marching, and teamwork skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Assist the Band Director with rehearsals, performances, competitions, and other marching band activities.
-Provide instruction and coaching to students in music performance, marching technique, and overall show production.
-Assist with sectionals, small-group rehearsals, and individual student instruction as assigned.
-Help supervise students during practices, performances, competitions, and travel.
-Support the Band Director with preparation and organization of marching band materials and equipment.
-Promote teamwork, responsibility, sportsmanship, school spirit, and a positive learning environment.
-Follow all district policies and procedures, including student supervision and safety requirements.
-Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, parents, and community members.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Band Director or school administration.

Qualifications
-Experience with marching band, instrumental music, music education, or a related field preferred.
-Demonstrated knowledge of marching band techniques and musical performance.
-Previous experience working with high school students is preferred.
-Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively with the Band Director and other staff.
-Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and provide a safe, supportive environment for students.

This is a part time (approx 10 hours per week) position that is seasonal and is paid by stipend.
