We can never explain why but as soon as the CPR Manikin/dummies are brought out the cadets can't stop laughing and having a good time. Maybe it is the great instructor Zack Wise that makes CPR fun? Or maybe it is the fact that we are weeks away from finishing and the cadets need a stress relieving day. Whatever the reasons we are glad that our cadets are having fun while learning life saving skills.

When you post a video of one of your cadets screaming while going through TASER training and you do not think it can get any better.....................someone turns it into a TIKTOK video and adds a screaming R2-D2 from Star Wars and it makes the video so much better. Enjoy!!!!!! I challenge you to only watch it once.

These few words on a simple piece of paper represent so much more than a basic graduation announcement. These words represent a culmination of months, weeks, days, and hundreds of hours of effort and complete dedication. These words also represent a future opportunity to become a part of something bigger than oneself. These words represent doors opening and an opportunity at an amazing career and a life of service. We congratulate our graduates and we thank those who have been an integral part of their success, mainly their families and all of our instructors. Good luck graduates and be safe!!!!!

You have to learn to take small steps before you can run. Today we worked on many small steps due to the ammunition shortage. The cadets got their first taste of fi****ms training and they were spoiled by the pleasant 40 degree and sunny weather at North Springs Shooting Range.

USU Eastern's current cadets have been busy this semester in the classroom and working on physical fitness. A few nights ago they learned some valuable new skills that will hopefully save a person's life one day. Instructor Zack Wise does a great job teaching life saving skills in a manner that is not only educational but also fun. Who wouldn't love to learn timing CPR compression sequences by listening to old school songs like "staying alive"???? By the end of class some cadets had even made new lifelong friendships.

Our future and fellow officers know that every time they check on duty it could be the last time. Yet everyday they continue to serve, they put on the uniform and choose to put others before themselves . Our hearts are heavy with news that an Ogden Police UT officer was shot and killed today and an Utah Department of Corrections Adult probation and Parole Agent was injured. We send our prayers and thoughts to everyone involved.

Who doesn't want to feel the sinus clearing joy of the oil taken from the placenta near the stem of a pepper???? (Oleoresin capsicum or OC spray).

We are starting another class up on January 6th, 2020. It is not too late to apply!!!!! The upcoming class is a SFO/BCO class or a special functions officer/basic corrections officer class and upon graduation you can work in the courts and corrections settings as well as a Constable.
