🥫 PES 2025 Food Drive – November 10th to December 15th! 🧡

It’s time to make a difference, PES family!

From November 10th through December 15th, we’ll be collecting food donations to help local families in need. Students can bring their items to school and drop them off in the designated collection areas with their teachers.

Suggested Donation Items:
Peanut butter, canned soup or stew, canned fruit and vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, applesauce, canned meats, cereal, granola bars, cooking oils, and more!

Every item helps make the season brighter for families in our community. Let’s show the power of PES kindness and generosity! 💪❤️

Supporting Our Preston Elementary Student 💙

Our PES family is rallying around one of our students who is having medical issues, and the family is in need of support.

In true Preston spirit, our community has come together to support our student and his family. Here’s how you can help this November:

🍽 The Red Shef — Collecting donations all month with a goal of $1,000!

☕ By Faith Coffee Co. — Monday, Nov. 10, donating 100% of sales (6:30–12:00 at Safehouse, 215 Main St).

🍋 Bravanson’s Main Squeeze — Tuesday, Nov. 11 (3–7 PM) at LNT Seafood, Preston. Try the special “Hero Fuel” drink—all proceeds go to the student!

📸 Samantha Artistry Photography — Sunday, Nov. 16, Holiday Mini Sessions ($50, all proceeds to the child).

🥪 The Farmer’s Daughter — Monday, Nov. 17, Pit Beef & Chips ($12) with pickup at Preston, Federalsburg, and CR schools. Email [email protected]

LNT Seafood: Friday 11/07 through 12/07, located at 23 Main Street in Preston, is having a raffle: Free 1/2 bushel of crabs once a month from May through September of 2026. Raffle tickets can be purchased at LNT Seafood beginning Friday 11/07 through 12/07. Tickets are $25.00 a ticket or $100.00 for 5 tickets with ALL proceeds going to the family.

The Fall 2025 Preston Elementary School Book Fair will take place from November 10–14. Families are invited to join in celebrating reading and supporting the PES Media Center. Book Fair Night will be held on November 13 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., and Grandparents Day will wrap up the week on November 14, with the fair open all day. Parents can visit the Scholastic website (https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/prestonelementaryschool2) to order books online and set up a cash-free eWallet for their child’s purchases. The eWallet option is the easiest way for your child to purchase books; however, families can also send money in with their student on their classes buy day. The fair schedule includes class preview and buy days to help every student explore and enjoy new books. The schedule is included in our newsletter, will be sent home with all students, and will also be available on our website and page.

🎉 Grandparents Day & Veterans Day Program – Friday, November 14th! 🇺🇸❤️

We’re excited to celebrate two special traditions at Preston Elementary School!

👵 Grandparents Day will be an all-day event where our PES Panthers get to share their school day with their amazing grandparents and special guests.

🎖️ Veterans Day Program will begin at 2:00 PM, as we honor the brave men and women who have served our country.

All details will be shared with families in our newsletter, on our school website, and via email. Families will also receive detailed information letters for both events this week.

We can’t wait to welcome our wonderful grandparents and honor our incredible veterans at PES! 💙💛

🎃 Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser for the Kautz Family 🥧

Hi friends! 💛

Many of you have already seen my post about Lizzy’s Sweet’s Thanksgiving pies, but it was recently brought to my attention that there’s a family in our community in great need — and it truly touched my heart. So this year, I’ve decided to change things up and use my pie sales to help make a difference.

I’ll be donating 50% of all proceeds from my Thanksgiving pies to support the Kautz family.

Andrew Kautz, a young student, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. His family is currently without a home and living with a friend, doing their best to stay strong through an incredibly difficult time. I would love for us to rally around them and show what community love can do. ❤️
