Join the SSWR AI Task Force Listening Session: Exploring the Future of AI in Social Work Research
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the landscape of social work research, practice, and education. Building on the strong interest and feedback received through our recent outreach, the SSWR AI Task Force, alongside partner organizations including CSWE, NASW, NADD, SWAN, GADE, and the Social Work Grand Challenges, is convening a collaborative listening session to continue this important conversation.
We invite researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to join us on June 8 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (9:00 AM Pacific / 10:00 AM Mountain / 11:00 AM Central) for a 90-minute facilitated discussion focused on the role of AI in social work research, ethical considerations surrounding AI use, and emerging questions related to responsible implementation and governance.

This past weekend, Ben wore his NASW cord with pride as he graduated from his BSW program at the University of Maine. Ben will be attending college in New York with a goal of returning to Maine as a Registered Play Therapist, providing critical services to children and families in Aroostook County.
Ben shared with us: "I am incredibly grateful for the advocacy and support NASW provides to social work students, and I look forward to staying connected with the association as I continue my education and grow with the profession."
Congratulations, Ben! We are so grateful to be a part of your continued journey and NASW will be here to support you every step of the way!
Leave your well wishes or graduate school advice to Ben in the comments!

Join CSWEโs Center for Diversity for an important webinar on 21st Century Displacement & Uprooting.
As geopolitical conflict, extreme weather, and climate change force millions from their homes, social workers have a critical role to play in advancing social, economic, and environmental justice for displaced and marginalized communities.
This webinar will explore how environmental social work frameworks can help practitioners better understand climate-induced displacement and advocate for more just, responsive solutions.
