Campus looks a little different after the sun goes down.

One of our resident students shared these beautiful nighttime photos, offering a view of NMCC that we do not often get to see. As we prepare to welcome students back, the campus will soon be filled with activity, new experiences and familiar faces once again.

Congratulations to the graduates of NMCC's HVAC Summer Academy!

Northern Maine Community College was proud to host the HVAC Career Summer Academy, funded through a grant from the Maine Department of Energy Resources as part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Training for Residential Energy Contractors program.

Over the course of two weeks, nine students completed an intensive 60-hour academy that introduced them to the fundamentals of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning while exploring career opportunities in the industry.

Throughout the academy, students:
• Learned the fundamentals of HVAC systems
• Heard from industry professionals at Dead River Company and Daigle Oil Company
• Toured local employers, including Pineland Farms and Daigle Oil Company
• Explored NMCC's campus HVAC systems
• Earned their OSHA 10 certification, with five students also earning their EPA 608 certification and the remaining students continuing to work toward theirs

Today, we celebrated their accomplishments by presenting each student with an OSHA 10 Certificate and an HVAC Summer Academy Completion Certificate.

Congratulations to all of our graduates! We are proud of the commitment, dedication, and hard work you demonstrated throughout the academy and look forward to seeing where your careers take you.
