The former fish lab is currently being transformed into a new grooming lab, while also creating space for a hydroponics lab for our Plant Sciences program. We're excited to expand hands-on learning opportunities and provide students with new experiences and industry-relevant skills.

While the room is still a work in progress, we wanted to share a few photos of our very first test subject trying out some of the new grooming equipment! 🐶

We can't wait to see how these upgrades will benefit our students and strengthen the Animal and Veterinary Science program for years to come. Stay tuned—we'll be sharing more photos and updates once the painting is finished and everything is arranged! 🐾

Our Animal Science and Plant Science students had the opportunity to visit Chase Family Farm in Mapleton this week for their annual trip. Students were able to see firsthand a truly sustainable beef operation while learning about cattle management, farming practices, and the day-to-day work involved in the industry.

A highlight of the visit was spending time with the happy, healthy cows and their playful calves!

A huge thank you to Vaughn and Laura Chase for welcoming our students and for sharing their knowledge, experience, and passion for agriculture. We appreciate the continued support of hands-on learning opportunities for our students!

Dozens of high school students competed in the Envirothon in Houlton, an academic challenge testing knowledge of forestry, wildlife, aquatics, soils, and pollution. Presque Isle Team Two took first place and advances to the state competition.
