The Student Government Association is here to serve it's students and help them achieve their goals. Last semester we helped our fellow student Jessy Devoe to attend her Clinicals practicum in Southern Maine which was required by her degree in order to graduate.
We want to offer our most sincere congratulations to Jessy for an incredible job and we hope for all the best in her future endeavors.
“I would like to send a million thank yous over to SGA. I had to go to Southern Maine for a clinical rotation where I had no family and really no place to live. Thankfully, last minute I found a place to live, but it was costly and I wasn’t financially set to rent out the place and support myself. I heard about SGA helping students out with educational trips they were wanting to do so I thought, “Why not give it a shot. The worst they can say is no.” So I sent in an application and they were generous enough to take care of my rent and travel funds. This has helped me become a more confident independent person and I have grown professionally in the profession I dream of doing. I am so very thankful of how SGA has helped me out.“-Jessy
