The Prescott Conservatory of Performing Arts is entering an exciting new season of renewal!
As we look ahead and take this time to focus on our family’s health and well-being, we’re also intentionally stepping back from regular classes, productions, and community programming to thoughtfully reimagine the future of the Prescott Conservatory of Performing Arts.
This isn’t a closure. It’s a facelift, a reorganization, and a recalibration. A chance to evolve into a model that is more focused, sustainable, and aligned with the depth of training and professional access we truly value.
Over the coming year, we’ll be redesigning our programs, refining our mission, and expanding our network of working professionals in the performing arts. This next chapter will emphasize masterclass-style workshops, small-group and private instruction, and direct mentorship with industry professionals. As part of this evolution, the Conservatory will also be launching under a new name, reflecting a broader, more flexible vision - one that isn’t tied to a single city, but to meaningful artistic development wherever our work takes us.
We are deeply grateful to the students, families, volunteers, and supporters who have been part of our journey so far. Your trust, encouragement, and belief in young artists have shaped everything we’ve built and will continue to guide what comes next.
We’re excited to share updates as this new vision takes shape. Thank you for your continued support as we prepare for the next chapter.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
With heavy hearts, we want to share that Prescott’s Got Talent Jr. has been postponed to Summer 2026.
This decision was not made lightly. Due to significant family health circumstances, we need to pause certain classes and events for the time being so we can give our full attention where it is most needed.
We are deeply saddened to take this step away from an event we love and from a community that means so much to us. At the same time, we know this pause is necessary, and we are committed to returning when we are able to do so fully and well.
We are incredibly grateful for the understanding, kindness, and support that continually surrounds the Conservatory. Your compassion and encouragement mean more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with us. We look forward to celebrating our young performers again when the time is right.
With gratitude,
Amanda & Jason Koiter

We just have to take a moment to share how incredibly thankful we are for this season we’re in with Footlight Productions and the MTCA journey.
Stepping into the Footlight world has been one of the biggest gifts. Getting to know Ben Naasz—his heart for the kids, his genuine passion for musical theatre, his dedication to excellence has been so inspiring. And it doesn’t stop there… his entire Footlight family is something truly special. From the teachers, to the performers, to the parents... every single person is kind, fun, welcoming, and all-in for these kids. It’s rare, and it’s amazing.
We had ensemble vocal rehearsal tonight and honestly… they already sound incredible. But even more than that, we laughed, we worked hard, and we had so much fun together. Watching these kids encourage each other, push themselves, and bond as a team has been the absolute highlight.
We are so grateful to Ben for opening the door to this collaboration and trusting us enough to step into his world. It has meant more than we can say. These kids are preparing ensemble numbers (“A Friend Like Me” & “Hakuna Matata”), a 10-minute musical (Beetlejuice), beautiful duets, powerful solos, and we even have three performers prepping for Triple Threat auditions! They are doing the work, supporting each other, and giving everything they’ve got.
February in Anaheim is going to be something truly special… and we can’t wait to see what these incredible young performers bring to the MTCA stage.
Feeling grateful, excited, and honored to be a part of this journey.

✨ What an Incredible Year! ✨
As we wrap up our first full year at The Prescott Conservatory of Performing Arts, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.
This year we’ve met so many amazing people, phenomenally talented youth, supportive families, and generous volunteers who’ve given their time and hearts to make events like Prescott’s Got Talent Jr. and Mean Girls Jr. possible.
We’ve made beautiful memories, lifelong friends, and learned so much about what an extraordinary performing arts community we have right here in Yavapai County. Thank you all for being a part of our dream to share the joy of the arts with local kids!
As we enter the final two weeks of our classroom session, we can’t wait for our Student Showcase on October 30, 2025, where our Musical Theatre students will share what they’ve been working on over the past 10 weeks.
After that, The Prescott Conservatory will be taking an extended hiatus through Christmas and New Year’s — a little time to rest, recharge, and plan for an exciting 2026 season ahead.

When we launched The Prescott Conservatory of Performing Arts, one of our biggest hopes was to create opportunities for local youth to grow, shine, and connect with professionals in the performing arts. We also wanted to bring local youth performing arts organizations together in a spirit of collaboration.
Over the past year, we’ve been so grateful for the relationships we’ve been building, especially with Ben and Sasha Naasz at The Movement Studio and Footlight Productions. Their passion for supporting young performers is inspiring, and we were thrilled when they invited us to collaborate on preparing a group of local youth for the 2026 Musical Theatre Competitions of America in Anaheim, California.
We are so excited to share that The Prescott Conservatory of Performing Arts has four incredibly talented kiddos registered and ready to begin rehearsals for their solo and duet performances. In addition, they’ll be joining Team Footlight in an ensemble performance that promises to be unforgettable.
This experience will give our students exposure to amazing industry professionals, help them refine their craft, and create lasting memories over the coming months.
Please join us in cheering on Team PCPA: Savannah Conely, Charlie Dunn, Tenley Gessert, and Everly Koiter! We couldn’t be more proud of these young performers and can’t wait to see them shine.
