The Department of Housing and Residence Life is responsible for
providing a safe and positive living/learning environment for residential
students.

The Department of Housing and Residence Life is responsible for providing a safe and positive living/learning environment for residential students. In doing so, HRL offers a variety of activities and community programs within the residence halls. HRL also provides leadership
opportunities through membership to the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and Resident Assistant positions. This page is used to disseminate useful communication about the Department to our campus community.

Congrats and thanks to RA Lucy, the first RA to finish their programming pie! RAs are required to host at least 8 educational programs covering 8 different topics over the course of the year. We keep every RA's pie in the HRL office, giving pieces to help them track progress and get ideas from their peers. Thanks for your hard work, Lucy!

This Thursday at 6:00pm, the Honors Student Association is welcoming a retired US Navy Captain and Astronaut to campus! Captain Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper will be presenting in the DLC to anyone interested in attending. She has flown on two Space Shuttle Missions and completed five spacewalks, among other roles she has taken throughout her impressive career. Questions can be directed to [email protected]. Tomorrow from 8:00am-5:00pm, the College of Security and Intelligence will be hosting the 12th National Security and Intelligence Symposium! Swing by the DLC to listen in on various conversations and speakers pertaining to the instability in Upper South Asia. The Symposium's keynote speakers are Ambassadors Ronald E. Neumann and Wendy J. Chamberlin. At 7:00pm, Ambassador Neumann will be giving an address also in the DLC. Questions can be forwarded to CSI Administrative Assistant Vicki Launders ([email protected]). See you there!
