Dear Families,
After carefully monitoring the latest developments in the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and praying diligently we have made the decision to follow Prescott Unified School district and close our preschool effective Monday, March 16. This closure will remain in effect through at least Friday, March 27.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly. I am VERY aware that many of you rely on us for childcare while you work and that our closure may leave you in a difficult situation. The same decision had to be made regarding the security of our preschool and the welfare of my staff. As I work through all these difficult decisions I keep reminding myself of a verse a mentor shared, Hebrews 13:8, âJesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.â This is the Christ we serve and He is our peace in this time of unrest in our nation, state, and city.
Although there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Yavapai County, we realize there is great concern among our stakeholders about how this could spread in our schools, and ultimately to the greater community, despite all of the measures taken and planned for the future. Todayâs decision, although very difficult, is being made in consideration of the overall health of our community.
This is new territory for everyone, and we realize quite clearly that there are many unanswered questions. We are working as quickly as possible to answer those questions with the Pastor Clovis Barnett, who was part of the decision making process. Clovis and I will be meeting this week to have necessary discussions. All future developments will continue to be communicated through email, our website, and Facebook. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this unprecedented public health challenge.
