The Nouveau House Art Gallery 2026

One of my favorite things about Nouveau House is that learning doesn’t have to fit inside a textbook. 💚

This week we wrapped up our annual Art Show, and I couldn’t stop smiling as I watched our students proudly share everything they had learned and created.

Over the past several months, our students have explored the lives and artwork of:

What I love most is that this wasn’t just an elementary school project. Even our preschoolers participated through age appropriate stories, discussions, and hands on art experiences. Seeing our two and three year olds excitedly talk about famous artists was pretty magical. ✨

Families wandered through galleries filled with student artwork inspired by the artists we studied while still reflecting each child’s own creativity and personality.

One of the biggest hits of the evening was our Underwater Glow Gallery. Students created an incredible underwater world that came to life under black lights, and watching their faces light up as families explored it was something I won’t forget anytime soon. 🐠✨

A special thank you goes to Mrs. Alysha. 🎨❤️ Her artistic background, creativity, and passion for teaching helped bring this entire experience to life. The children absolutely adore learning from her, and we are so grateful to have her as part of the Nouveau House family.

Moments like these remind me why I started Nouveau House. Yes, academics matter, but so do creativity, confidence, curiosity, imagination, and a genuine love of learning.

When education becomes an experience instead of just an assignment, amazing things happen.

🐣 Patiently waiting for hatch day and all the peeps that come with it. 🥚💕

Our 1st/2nd grade classroom has officially entered the “check the incubator every 5 minutes” phase of our chicken unit. The kids are learning all about life cycles, how chicks grow inside their eggs, and what living things need to survive and thrive.

Today we candled the eggs and got to peek at the tiny changes happening inside. Watching their faces light up while they whisper “I think I see it!” is pure magic.

If all goes as planned, our little chicks should begin hatching soon and the excitement around here is VERY real. 🤍💛

Our very first Movie Under the Stars at Nouveau House was pure magic ✨

Families gathered with blankets and chairs, kids picked out their favorite snacks 🍿, and our field turned into a cozy little community under the night sky. Laughter, connection, and a whole lot of joy filled the evening.

Such a beautiful night with our families… and the start of a tradition we already love 🤍🌙

BREAKING NEWS from Nouveau House… our principal has officially added “Bunny Wrangler” to her resume. 🐇😂

Earlier today, several very fluffy, very confused little escape artists were found by our creek after being abandoned and to figure out the world on their own. … but who saves the day?

Mrs.Holder.

Because apparently running a whole school wasn’t enough… she also casually rescues woodland creatures in her spare time. No big deal. 🦸‍♀️✨

These bunnies went from “what is happening??” to being wrapped up like cozy little burritos in under 5 minutes flat. I’m pretty sure they’re considering enrolling at this point.

Honestly, at Nouveau House:
• Kids are loved
• Teachers are supported
• And abandoned bunnies get VIP treatment

PLAY is Learning!

A tiny world with a very big purpose 🌿✨

What looks like “just play” is actually deep, intentional learning.

Through scenes like this, children are building language, storytelling, problem solving, social skills, and even early science concepts…all without worksheets, pressure, or forced outcomes.

At Nouveau House, play isn’t a break from learning …it is the learning 💫

Because when children are engaged, curious, and creating their own little worlds, their brains are doing their best work 🤍
