AAC users deserve time to process what’s been said, time to find the words, and time to build a response. When we rush in with question after question, we don’t support communication… we interrupt it.

Try mixing it up:
-make comments instead of always asking
-model language without pressure to respond
-share observations
-give real wait time

Conversation isn’t about speed, it’s about connection.
Let’s slow down and make space for AAC voices to be heard.

Sad news! This gentleman was a wonderful community advocate and even helped with many of the local aac projects among countless others. No idea what caused him to pass at such a young age.
