💚 LEADERSHIP STARTS HERE — 4-H!

Did you know that leadership is one of the most important things 4-H helps young people develop?

4-H isn’t just about completing projects — it’s about helping kids become confident, responsible leaders who know how to communicate, make decisions, work with others, and give back to their communities.

4-H LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

🗣️ Public Speaking – Learn how to speak confidently in front of others and share ideas.

🤝 Teamwork – Work together, listen to others, solve problems, and accomplish goals as a group.

📋 Club Leadership – Take on roles such as president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer and learn how organizations work.

🎤 Presentations & Demonstrations – Teach others about a project or skill you’ve learned.

💡 Decision Making – Practice thinking through choices, solving problems, and taking responsibility for decisions.

🎯 Goal Setting – Set goals, make a plan, and work toward accomplishing them.

❤️ Community Service – Identify needs in the community and work together to make a difference.

🏆 Fair & Event Leadership – Help organize activities, assist younger members, volunteer, and take responsibility for making events successful.

👥 Mentoring & Helping Others – Older or more experienced members have opportunities to encourage and help younger 4-H members.

AND IT ALL COMES BACK TO THE 4-H MOTTO: “LEARN BY DOING!”

Kids don’t become leaders by simply reading about leadership. They become leaders by actually doing it!

They learn to:
✨ Speak up
✨ Take responsibility
✨ Try new things
✨ Work through challenges
✨ Lead a group
✨ Help others
✨ Make decisions
✨ Learn from mistakes
✨ Celebrate successes

💚 4-H gives kids a safe place to practice leadership NOW — so they can carry those skills into school, their careers, their families, and their communities later in life.

The goal isn’t just to raise great 4-H members…

🌟 It’s to help raise the next generation of confident, capable community leaders! 🌟

LEARN BY DOING. LEAD BY EXAMPLE. MAKE A DIFFERENCE. 💚

✨ UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY WITH 4-H VISUAL ARTS! ✨

Did you know you don’t have to raise an animal or love the outdoors to be part of 4-H? 💚 The 4-H Visual Arts projects give kids a chance to explore their creativity, learn new skills, and turn their ideas into something they can be proud of!

🌟 VISUAL ARTS PROJECTS CAN INCLUDE:

🎨 Drawing & Painting – Pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and more!

🖌️ Arts & Crafts – Explore different materials, techniques, and creative projects.

📸 Photography – Learn composition, lighting, perspective, and how to tell a story through pictures.

🧵 Clothing & Textiles – Sewing, embroidery, weaving, quilting, knitting, crochet, and other fiber arts.

🏺 Ceramics & Pottery – Learn to create and decorate projects with clay.

🪵 Woodworking – Design, build, and finish creative projects using wood.

💎 Jewelry & Beading – Create unique jewelry, accessories, and decorative pieces.

✂️ Paper & Mixed Media – Scrapbooking, paper crafts, collages, and combining different artistic techniques.

🌸 Floral & Nature Arts – Create beautiful projects inspired by flowers, plants, and nature.

🖼️ Digital Art & Creative Design – Explore technology and creativity through digital photography, graphic design, and other digital projects.

🌟 AND REMEMBER — 4-H’S MOTTO IS “LEARN BY DOING!”

That means kids get hands-on experience creating, experimenting, practicing new techniques, solving creative challenges, and learning from the process.

💚 4-H Visual Arts helps kids:
✨ Build creativity
✨ Develop new skills
✨ Express themselves
✨ Gain confidence
✨ Learn patience and attention to detail
✨ Set goals and see them through
✨ Share their work with others

And yes — many of these projects can be entered and displayed at the county fair!

Whether your child loves to draw, paint, sew, take pictures, build, sculpt, design, craft, or simply try something new, there’s a place for their creativity in 4-H!

CREATE. EXPLORE. LEARN BY DOING. 💚
