I've been working with children for about 13 years now, and no matter what I was working on with them: math, reading, exercising, vocational skills, working with kids with neurodivergence and neurotypical children and everything in between, a common denominator always presented itself:

✨️ Social-emotional wellness ✨️

It's importance showed up in everything we did.

In large classrooms with heavy emphasis on academics, there is not a lot of time to spend on relational skills. Yet, it is arguably one of the most important components to education and to life in general. If children have poor relational and regulation skills, they will often be named the "trouble child" and some even kicked out of schools due to behaviors. Children who don't feel connected to their peers, have poor social skills, are shy and withdrawn or are even bullied can develop serious mental and emotional health concerns.

My questions have always been: why is this not an important aspect in educating and raising our children? What amount of growth can be achieved if a child's social and emotional needs are not met? Is there more to planning for your child's future than a savings account and college prep?

We see first hand how adults in our society handle conflict, relationships & regulation. Most of us were not given the proper tools to handle conflict, to be emotionally intelligent, to stand up for ourselves in health ways, to sustain deep and meaningful relationships, to be compassionate & empathetic whilst still having solid boundaries...

Through my own experience with my personal relationships, in observing the world and their relationships and in working with children.. I began to discover vital, missing pieces to the puzzles of social-emotional wellness.

It became more and more clean that the power of connection is undeniable and in my opinion can radically alter the course of someone's life 💫

In everything I do, these skills are woven in. Especially within our Friendship Club 🤍 Where children can develop more in their relationship with themselves, their peers and the world around them 🫶

Our first Friendship Club was lovely 😌✨️ we focused on a really important relationship: the one we have with ourselves 🫶 we made ourselves friendship bracelets and drew self portraits 💓

Who’s behind all of this?

👋🏻🙋🏽‍♀️ Hi! My name is Luna! I am passionate about supporting parents, children, caretakers, teachers & more in raising and supporting children into becoming and creating their best selves!

I will never forget the moment I knew that children were going to play a huge role in my life — I was about 9 or 10 and was told that I could help out in the nursery at the church I was at. There was a little baby in the class and I got to rock him to sleep in a dim light, quiet room. As this child fell asleep in my arms I looked down at him and felt such a strong feeling of: ‘this is a part of my path’ even though I was just a young child myself, I look back now and realized this was a significant moment for me.

Since then I’ve worked in schools, daycares, special education classrooms, co-ops, ran my own daycare & school, taught parenting classes & more! I am now a clinical hypnotherapist, life coach & teach schools, daycare facilities, parents and caregivers and have never been more fulfilled!

My desire is for children to develop the skills needed to process their emotions in healthy ways, empower themselves to overcome any obstacles & become driven and focused, to learn critical conflict resolution skills, social & emotional skills and so much more; then to teach adults caring for, raising & teaching children to do the same 🤍✨

This is the next generation we’re talking about! Who will they become? How will the lead? How will they process their emotions? Who will guide them? 🙌🏼 the next generations are in our hands! Let’s work together to support them in developing a strong sense of self, empowerment, compassion & authenticity!
