Prescott Slow Food "Hidden Roots, Future Harvests" dinner event last night focusing on indigenous food & farming system resilience and relevance to our future was informative, inspiring, and nourishing!

A big thanks to all of the participants, including the Slow Food Prescott Board who planned the event, volunteers who prepped the meal, set up the space, tabled at the event, and speakers who shared their expertise and experiences, and the team who cleaned up at the end!

Look for the third event in this series in January 2027.

Sustainability practices that students in Community Based Orientation has engaged in this Block 1 include "Compost Care"--not only collecting food scraps weekly and then building & flipping our Campus Compost piles, but now adding colorful, inspirational, creative decor to refresh our food scrap buckets for students, both on and off campus.🪱 Thanks!
